人教版英语高二必修五 Unit5 第一课时 warming up and reading
【教学目标】
1.Get students to learn some knowledge about first aid,especially the treatments of “burns”.
2.Enable students to grasp the reading skill of using the subtitle to get the main idea of each paragraph or part.
3.Raise Ss’ awareness of preventing some injuries and carrying out first aid when necessary.
【重难点】
教学重点:Basic knowledge about burns.
教学难点:How to treat burns in our daily life.
【教学过程】
Step1:Lead-in
T:Good morning,boys & girls. Look here(lift the finger with boundage)
S:Oh,what’s wrong with you,Miss Li?
T:Yesterday when I was cooking,I accidently cut my finger and it bled. So I covered it with this band-aid. We know such injuries can’t be avoided in our daily life. In this situation,we must treat it in time in a proper way. And we call the treatment first aid(板书). It’s just what we’ll learn in unit 5. then what’s first aid in your understanding?
Students’ brainstorm
T:Thank you. So first aid First aid is a temporary form of help given to someone who suddenly falls ill or gets injured before a doctor can be found. Well,more importantly,we should know how to give first aid.

T:Now look at the picture,we can see this girl may get burned by boiling water. What will you do if you were her mother? Discuss with your partner(1min)

Step2:Reading
Task1:Find out what aspects are mentioned in the text as quickly as you can. If you finish,hand up.(After finishing,ask the first one to answer.)
T:How did you get your idea?
S:Go through headings.
T:Class,what about you?
S:Me,too.
T:Good,it’s a method of skimming.(Show Ss the screen)
