Step 1.Greetings

Task 1.Got to know about Miss Chen.

S:How doyou goto school,Miss Chen?

T:I go to schoolby motorcycle.

S:What are your hobbies?

T:I like reading books.

S:What are you going to do this weekend?

T:I’m going to the park with my son.

设计意图:运用已学知识与教师自由交谈,在交谈的过程中增加对教师的了解,真正地运用语言去获取信息,激发了学生的学习兴趣。

Step 3.Presentation &Practise

Task 1.Got to know about Miss Chen’s son.

T:Well,is Miss Chen a mother?

S:Yes.

T:How do you know that?

S:You are going to the park with your son.

T:Cool! (PPT shows a picture)Look!This is my lovely son,Jerry.Usually we’re happy.But sometimes Jerry makes me feel angry.Look!This is his desk.What a mess!

And I ask Jerry to tidy up the desk.He answers,“Just a minute.I’m watching cartoons.”.How does Miss Chen feel?

S:Angry.

T:Right.I’m angry.I’m angry with Jerry.(T shows the word card written:angry with)

T:What about Jerry?How does Jerry feel?

S:He’s afraid.

T:Yeah, he’s afraid.He’s afraid of Miss Chen.(T shows the word card written:afraid of)

设计意图:通过授课教师与其儿子的图片,非常自然地引出本课时的重点内容:be angry with 与 be afraid of。这组图片深深地吸引了学生的注意力,让其在真实的情境中体验、感知新知识。

Task 2.Look and say.

S:The big red wolf is angry with the big big wolf.

S:The big big wolf is afraid of the big red wolf.

S:The dog is angry with the cat.

S:The cat is afraid of the dog.

设计意图:给出学生们所熟悉的卡通图片,形象生动,大家跃跃欲试。

Task 3.Talk about the famouscartoon TOM AND JERRY.

T:The picture is from the famouscartoon TOM AND JERRY. The cat usually chases the mouse in the cartoon.

T:Look!What is the cat doing?

S:The cat is chasing a mouse now.

Task 4.Let’s try.

T:Well,we like cartoons.What about Sarah and Sam?Let’s listen.

T:Q1:Where are they?

S:At home.

T:How do you know that?

S:It’s cold outside.

T:Well done!

T:Q2:What will they do?

S:Watch films.

T:All right.Let’s finish the self-assessment.How many happy faces have you got?

设计意图:听力内容一般与 Let’s talk板块内容相关。教师引导学生学会抓关键信息,提高听的能力。同时,引导学生对学习情况进行自评,让他们成为评价的主体,同时也及时反馈了学生听力部分的完成情况。

Task 5.Let’s talk.

Task A:Got to know the main idea of the dialogue.

T:Sarah and Sam are going to watch films.What film are they going to watch?Listen and find out:What’s this cartoon about?

S:It’s about a cat.

T:Only a cat?

S:And many mice.

Task B:Listen,repeat and underline:What does the cat do?What about the mice?

T:Now let’s listen,repeat and underline:What does the cat do?What about the mice?

S:The catchases the mice.

T:Yes.What’s the cat’s job?

S:The catisa police officer.

T:What about the mice?

S:Theyarebad.They hurt people.

Task C:Listen,repeat and circle:How does the cat and the mice feel?

设计意图:通过问题,在教师的引导下完成了本对话的思维导图,在头脑中建构起基础语言框架,对对话内容了然于心。

Task D:Role play.

设计意图:一位学生进行角色扮演,其他学生当裁判,满分为5个笑脸。大家都是评委,所以听得特别认真。这一集体参与的教学评价方式让学生更多地关注了同伴们的学习态度、参与程度与协作情况。

Step 4.Consolidation and extension

Task: Talk about the cartoons with your partner.

学生自编对话展示。

Group 1:

A: Let’s watch TV together.

B:What’sthiscartoon about?

A:It’s about a family.The kid has big ears.

C:Cool!What’s the kid’s name?

A:His name is Hu Tutu.

D:Really?That’s fun.

A:Look!He broke the cup.His mother is angry with him.

B,C&D:Haha!I want to watch the cartoon now.

Group 2:

A:What’sthiscartoon about?

B:It’s about the big big wolf and the sheep.

C:Cool!

D:Look!The big bad wolf is chasing the sheep.How does the sheep feel?

A:He’s afraid of the wolf.The wolf is bad.

C:But the sheep are smart.The wolf can’t catch the sheep.

D:So the big red wolf is angry with the big bad wolf.

A:I want to watch the cartoon now.

Group 3:

A:Let’s watch cartoons.

B:Great!

C:What’sthiscartoon about?

A:It’s about Guangtouqiang and the bears.

C:Cool!

D:Guangtouqiang is bad.He cuts the trees.The bears are angry with Guangtouqiang.

B,C&D:That’s fun.We can’t wait.

设计意图:教师提供语言支架,学生四人一组,整合已学过的知识创编对话。在活动中培养学生的合作意识,进一步提高综合语言运用能力。
