一、基于文本解读的I can sing & chant 的表现性任务与动态评价标准

在“人与社会”主题的引领下,本单元以“假期生活”为话题,学习主题是谈论和描述人物在过去做的事情。Let’s sing 部分的歌曲为“Tell me about your holiday”,旋律轻松欢快,歌词生动活泼,主要描述的是“我”的假期生活经历,并且一脉相承地通过本单元的功能句型和目标语言吟唱出了生活中可能会遇到的好事或坏事,指向学生要以乐观积极的态度面对生活。基于本单元话题可塑空间大、生活链接性强以及主题立意鲜明的特点,针对小学六年级毕业班学生英语的综合素养水准,本单元Sing and chant 的表现性任务的主题立意可定位为“Positive attitude, Colourful life”,引入融合英语和音乐两大学科的教育戏剧形式,任务设置为“The English Musical Play”(英语微音乐剧展示评比活动),学生围绕主题,根据课本内容、真实生活经历或者创意想象,进行生活小故事的歌词创编,通过灵动的肢体语言、丰富的情感传达和多种歌曲形式演绎微音乐剧。由此,本任务在四个基本维度的基础评价标准上,二度补充的动态评价标准为:Creative presentation of the song (歌曲呈现形式创意度)和Richness of the lyrics(歌词内容丰富度),这样的评价导向鼓励学生主动建构音乐素养和英语综合运用能力的关系,充分体察主题意义下语言和情感的魅力,增长见识和阅历,真正实现对真实表达的追求和对个性创造的追寻。

二、I can sing & chant 的表现任务实施案例与剖析

(一)任务设计

【任务名称】The English Musical Play

【任务说明】两到六人一组参加英语微音乐剧展示评比活动,以“Last weekend/ holiday”为主题创作属于你们的音乐剧剧本,发挥你的故事创作能力和音乐改编才华,将故事情节用歌曲或歌谣吟唱出来,充分展现英语音乐剧的魅力。来吧!用你美丽的歌声尽情演绎你的故事吧!我们将选出最佳音乐剧舞台,期待你的精彩展示!

【表现形式】

1.原创改编歌词或歌谣。

2.唱诵展示自行创编的歌曲歌谣。

(Show your own song or chant.)

温馨提示:创意演唱,可配动作、乐器、伴奏、舞蹈、道具、场景布置等。

酝酿期——组队,讨论剧本情节和歌词设计

准备期——设计歌曲歌谣的表现形式

展示期——参与班级“TheEnglishMusical Play”(英语微音乐剧)展示评比活动,经班级大众评审选出的班级最佳作品,将以短视频形式上挂云平台“我能行”展示区,参与校内外网络海选投票,根据票选评出校级“最佳英语微音乐剧”。

【评价标准】

1.Accuracy——咬词准确度,共3 星。

2.Fluency——歌曲流畅度,共3 星。

3.Imitation similarity——模仿相似度,共3 星。

4.Body language——肢体表现度,共3 星。

5.Creative presentation of the song——歌曲呈现形式创意度,共3 星。

6.Richness of the lyrics——歌词内容丰富度,共3 星。

【设计说明】

经过Unit 2 Last weekend 和Unit 3 Where did you go?两个单元的学习,学生已经较熟练地掌握了动词过去式的不规则变化,并能在各种特定情境中围绕过去发生的某一事件进行较为全面的谈论和描述。因此可以对本单元Sing and chant 表现性任务做突破性尝试,英语微音乐剧不仅赋予单元主题下的歌曲言语的生命力,还激发学生创造性运用语言的兴趣,有效启发了学生的歌曲创作动力和思维活力,引导其真正关注歌词本身的意义和价值传递,在寻求英语表演创作与音乐表达有效融合的过程中,调动他们的协作精神,并有机整合核心素养的美育内容。

(二)任务介绍与示范

【任务示范】

T: Hello! Boys and girls! Welcome to the English Musical Play.Do you remember John and Wu Binbin’s holiday? The song of this unit is about their holidays.Here is a big challenge for you!Can you act out their holiday story with a beautiful song? Who is the best actor? Who is the best singer? Is that you? Who would like to have a try?

Ss: Our group!

T: Good! Here are some pictures of their holiday, and also the lyrics of the song are for you!You can act and sing out the story with some body languages and some props.And others, you are the director! Let’s get it started!

T: Boys and girls, do you like their play? What do you think of their performance? Here are the tips.

Tip 1: Accuracy.They can pronounce and sing correctly.So 3 stars for all of them.

Tip 2: Fluency.They can read the lines and sing the songs beautifully and fluently.They can get 3 stars.

Tip 3: Imitation similarity.I think they try to imitate from the dialogue and they really did a good job.So 3 stars for them.

Tip 4: Body language.I think they have proper body language which can express their feelings correctly.When they sing to each other, their actions are beautiful like shining stars! So 3 stars for them.

Tip 5: Creative presentation of the song.I think their songs are cleverly incorporated into the play,and they sing with actions and great facial expressions.So, they can get 3 stars for this section.

Tip 6: Richness of the lyrics.They try to sing the song of this unit beautifully.But next time I think they can change the words according to the melody of the songs and make the play more vivid and interesting.So 2 stars for them.In total, they have 17 stars.Congratulations!

【示范说明】

对于学生而言,英语微音乐剧是一种从未体验过的全新形式,尤其是当它需要与单元主题内容和歌曲相结合形成一台微戏剧时,教师需要在示范环节做好有吸引力的氛围铺垫和思路清晰的作品示范引领。示范组学生在有限的课堂时间内挖掘歌曲主题和情境,设计了Amy 和Mike 打电话聊过去的暑假的场景,撰写了简单的剧本台词并准备了道具,歌曲表演自然地融于剧本情节中,既充分利用了教材资源,又具有一定个性化发挥空间。

(三)任务布置与准备

【任务布置】T: What about you? Do you want to show your mini-musical play on the stage? Can you create an interesting story with nice music? Can you change the lyrics and sing them beautifully?Now it’s your turn.You can work in pairs or in groups,get prepared and join in the play.Which group can show the best play? Here is your group task worksheet! It may help you to have a wonderful play! Are you ready? Let’s do it!

【导航讨论】Students discuss the plot of the story and the representation of music and lyrics according to the items in the worksheet.The worksheet should involve comprehensive aspects for the task as much as possible.So it can guide students to organize the discussion orderly and efficiently.

5 minutes later, students finish the worksheet and form their own project about the play.

【导航解读】首先,导航单通过组员或角色分配、任务名称和具体呈现形式体现学生主人翁的地位感,决定“戏剧舞台”的总达成方向;而后从音乐剧的剧本台词、歌曲编曲和歌词编写、舞台动作设计和道具等方面入手,为学生提供了戏剧表演必备的因素,并且运用半开放式的方式,通过勾选项目提供选择思路,又在每个项目上给学生以自主发挥空间。在最后的达标创想中,为了使歌曲演绎更新颖,导航引导学生从编曲、写词、多种演唱形式结合等方式入手,一、二两组学生分别都在已给的选项基础上增加融入了自己对“创新性”的思考(互动式演唱、原创Rap 演唱);在实现歌词内容的丰富度上,小组成员也快速讨论形成了符合小组成员特长的表现方式。可以看到,学生在课内短时间内形成的任务方案雏形,确实是导航下的方向准确、内容详尽、体现个性的优秀产物。

【准备说明】

教师在任务指导语的描述上除了对任务步骤的清晰描述外,应当对歌词撰写技巧给予必要的指导,比如歌词首先要关注主题意义表达。其次要学会艺术处理每句歌词句尾单词的韵脚,歌词应对应旋律和节奏等。除此之外还要引导学生掌握戏剧表演和演唱的技巧,告诉他们在演唱的同时既要展示剧情、表达主题,又要传递特定的情感和氛围,在张弛有度的节奏中赋予表演生命力和舞台感。

S4: Your body language is so cool.You can shake your body with the rhythm.And act like lovely Zoom and cute Zip.尤其是你们在念对白时的动作非常自然,表演唱时动作又很有带动性,让观众很想跟着一起动起来! I will give you 3 stars.

T: Wow! You are so professional.They have a good sense of rhythm.Thank you.

Tip 5: Creative presentation of the song.

S5: You can write the new lyrics so creatively.And it is really interesting! It was a dream!Haha! I think you can get 3 stars.

T: I love it, too! Tip 6: Richness of the lyrics.

S6: The lyrics show an interesting story for us!在寒风中打着喷嚏堆雪人的Zoom 和坐宇宙飞船去月球的Zoom 都因你们的歌词而更加活泼生动!I will give you 3 stars.

T: Yeah, your play and the song show a special but interesting holiday for us! It is really a good performance.In total, you can get 18 stars.All of you did a good job.I’m so proud of you!

S3: You can imitate it so well.I will give you 3 stars.

T: Yes, I like your pronunciation.And what about their body language? Would you like to say something about Tip 4?

S4: Robin! I really like you! You walk like a robot! You speak like a robot! You are a real robot in your play! You are my idol! 3 stars for you.

T: I enjoy Robin’s performance so much.He also interacted with the audience.Wonderful! Tip 5: Creative presentation of the song.

S5: 不论是Rap 的演唱形式,还是机器人的表演形式,都让我们感到耳目一新,太有创意了!I think they can get 4 stars for this part!

T: Wow! Do you agree? OK! 4 stars!! And Tip 6: Richness of the lyrics.

S6: 我认为他们所表演的Rap 不仅歌词生动,而且每一句都能做到词尾押韵,非常不简单!I will give them 3 stars.

T: It is really a terrific play, more than perfect! In total, you can get 19 stars! Congratulations!

【展评说明】

在上述案例中,学生的任务呈现让我们看到了所谓高层次表现水平其实是没有上限的,固有的评价标准也不会限制学生的创作发挥空间。学生绘制戏剧海报、设计剧本、电子音乐编曲、Rap 演唱等作品的出现,让我们看到了核心素养时代下学生综合素质创新发展的可能性。这也对教师提出了更高的要求,在教学环境越来越开放的今天,教师对表现性任务的评价目标、任务设计和评分标准也应该与时俱进,冲破经验束缚,超越传统框架,任务的品评和呈现形式也可以是研究型学习活动、网络平台交流活动等。总之,教师只有不断提升教育创新应变能力和协作沟通能力,学生才能通过表现性学习任务获取更大的素养建构空间。
