【Abstract】From the perspective of training applied talents, practical English rhetoric education has a very positive effect and should be given sufficient attention. This article analyzes and discusses practical English rhetoric teaching strategies based on applied talents, hoping to promote the improvement of teaching level.

Cultivate students' awareness of rhetoric
Teachers should guide students to clarify the concept, nature and situation of rhetoric in English rhetoric, master the operating mechanism of rhetorical behavior, and ensure that students can realize that rhetoric itself is not equivalent to the figure of speech. The core of the curriculum is to master the methods and skills of rhetoric use , Rather than the distinction of rhetoric, because in addition to the rhetoric, the content of rhetoric also includes the choice of words and sentences, style and logical framework. After students have initially grasped the connotation of rhetoric, teachers should go further. From the perspective of general rhetoric, guide students to realize that the color, size, arrangement and even the choice of illustrations are part of the overall rhetoric, so that students can break Narrow rhetoric view, clear rhetoric is not only a micro-level language skill, but also a language strategy that can include the whole.
Pay attention to the setting of syllabus
In the written rhetoric teaching, the syllabus should be able to help students better understand the aesthetic organization principles of the English language in terms of word refinement and sentence layout, ensuring that students can fully understand the differences between Chinese and English rhetoric habits, and learn English terminology. The rhetoric characteristics of the article are emphasized, and students are required to combine their own knowledge to complete English essay questions, essays, and course essay writing, and they should focus on the arrangement of teaching content. At the same time, in order to strengthen students' rhetoric analysis and rhetoric appreciation abilities in a relatively short period of time, teaching methods and teaching models should be innovated. For students' familiar rhetoric and sentence selection, class time should be appropriately reduced. The emphasis of the teaching is on the analysis of the rhetoric characteristics of the discourse and even the whole text.
Focus on oral communication rhetoric
①Emphasize practical application. In the process of implementing English oral communication rhetoric teaching, the practical application of rhetoric should be emphasized, such as the application in speech, debate, and negotiation.
②Eliminate cultural divide. In some informal diplomatic situations, the proper use of colloquial or slang can eliminate the barriers between different cultures and shorten the distance between the two parties.
③Highlight rhetoric practice. Teachers should actively introduce rhetoric use cases in spoken language, film and television dramas, and newspapers to highlight the sense of the times possessed by rhetoric, so as to apply what they have learned

All in all, in order to better respond to the needs of social development for practical English talents, colleges and universities should do a good job in teaching practical English rhetoric, cultivate students' awareness of rhetoric, pay attention to the setting of syllabus, pay attention to oral communication rhetoric, and provide more applications for the society Professional talents.
