患儿妈妈：你们竟拣好听的说。我们一千多块钱花进去了，连个发烧都退不下来。小孩哭闹不停，一点都不见好转,一定是你们的治疗措施不当，用药不当。医生呢？我要见医生。

护士：我正要请医生来看看的。你们稍等，我马上去请医生。(医生看过患儿之后，给予药物降温，并开出水合氯醛灌肠的医嘱)

护士：医生检查过后，开了新的退热药，我现在就给他用上，再给他温水擦个身。等一会体温会降下来的，接下来马上给你的孩子灌肠，孩子就安静了。

患儿妈妈：发烧就推药，过一阵子又会升上去，孩子哭闹了就灌肠，难道你们就没有其他办法？

护士：枫枫妈妈，对不起，让您着急了。目前我们先把孩子的体温退下来，让小孩安静，尽量减少他的一些痛苦。同时，我们也在给他进行病因治疗。您的孩子有先天性心脏病，抗病能力差一些。

患儿妈妈：现在小孩不停地咳嗽，还喘呢，这也与“先心”有关？ (语气开始缓和)

护士：是这样的，“先心”的孩子抵抗力相对较差。有的发育落后于其他孩子，一旦受凉或被感染易并发肺部感染，而肺部感染又会加重心脏症状。这次您的孩子就是合并了支气管肺炎。针对孩子的气喘与咳嗽我们已经对症处理了，如：氧喷，雾化，还有静脉用药。但发挥明显的作用要有个过程的。在治疗过程中，为了取得更好、更快的疗效，希望你们尽可能配合和支持我们的工作。咳嗽、有痰，经常给孩子翻身拍背，多给孩子喝水，有助于痰液排出。

患儿妈妈：真的呀，能教我吗？

护士：这样拍 (护士做示范)

患儿妈妈：这个样子对吗？(为患儿翻身拍背)

护士：对的，但是应注意将手拱成空心状 (再次做示范)(孩子仍然哭吵)

Patient’s Mother: You only say the things we like to hear. So far we have spent more than $1,000 yuan, but the baby’s fever is still the same. He cries and screams non-stop. Nurse: After examined your baby, the doctor has prescribed the new antipyretic drug for him. I will give him the medicine and then wipe his body with warm water. His body temperature should go down shortly. The baby will quiet down after I give him the enema.

Patient’s Mother: You always give him medicine when his temperature is high and apply enema when he cries. But his symptoms have recurred again and again. Don’t you have other methods to treat him?

Nurse: Feng-Feng’s mom, I am sorry for letting you worry. We first need to reduce the baby’s temperature to quiet him down, and then alleviate his discomfort. At the same time, we are treating the cause of his disease. Your baby has a congenital heart disease and his immunity to diseases is low.

Patient’s Mother: The child coughs endlessly and breathes heavily. Are these all related to his congenital heart disease too? (Her tone begins to relax.)

Nurse: Yes. A child with congenital heart disease has relatively poor immunity and may be slower in his overall development than healthy children. It is easy for him to develop a lung infection when suffering from colds, and a lung infection can aggravate his heart problem. This is what your baby has, a complicated bronchus pneumonia. We have treated his symptoms with oxygen inhalation, aerosol spray, and intravenous medicines. But, it takes time to recover. In the course of the treatment, in order to obtain better and faster results, I hope you would cooperate with us and support our work. Your baby has cough with sputum. Turn him, pat his back, and provide water for him to drink. This will help him to cough up the sputum.

Patient’s Mother: Really? Could you teach me how to pat him?

Nurse: Pat him like this. (The nurse demonstrated)
