一、教学内容分析

本课是新人教PEP 六年级下册第四单元的第四课时B Let’s talk 的内容,单元标题“Then and now”,本单元学习的话题是谈论事物和人物的今昔变化。本部分学习的核心词汇是different,active ,核心句型是Before,I was …Now, I am …等,教材通过Mike、John陈杰和三个小朋友一起看老照片,谈论自己的变化来让学生感知上述句型的语义及语用情景,学会运用Before, I was… Now ,I am …等描述自己与他人的变化。

二、设计思路

该课属于对话教学,因此本课的设计思路为:引导学生在语境中理解、学说对话,在情景中巩固、运用对话中的核心语言 “Before, I was… Now , I am …”;语言活动设计从学说、角色表演到运用,层层递进,在滚动复现中实现巩固与内化、运用与提升。

三、教学目标

能够在图片和教师的帮助下理解对话大意,并回答教师根据对话所设计的问题;能够按照正解的语音、语调及意群复述对话,并能进行角色表演;能够听、说、读、写,并在情景中运用句型Before,I was… Now,I’m…对比过去和现在自己的变化;能够在语境中理解different 和active的意思,并能正确发音;能够描述自己朋友或家人的变化;通过对比过去和现在的生活方式和环境,培养学生热爱生活、珍惜时间的意识、培养学生保护环境、珍惜幸福的优秀品质。

四、教学重点

1.学生能在老师创设的情境中理解“different”的意思,并能听、说、读写句子Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class. Before , I was short, so I couldn’t ride my bike well. Now,I go cycling every day.

2.学生能通过对Let’s talk的学习,学会运用Before, I was… Now ,I am …等描述自己与他人的变化。

五、教学难点

小组活动的有序开展以及汇报、表演环节的时间把握。

六、课前准备

学生自制个人成长历程卡片;角色扮演Mike,Chen Jie , John 头饰;板书的卡纸;多媒体课件。

七、教学过程

Step 1. Warm –up

1. Free talk T: Boys and girls, how are you ? What’s the weather like today? What was the weather like yesterday ? What were you like before ? What were you like five years ago ?

2. Sing a song : Changes in me Step 2. Presentation

1.(PPT) 出示班里一个女同学现时的照片,T: Who is she? Guess.Ss: It is Bobo .

T: What was Bobo like before? Please come and look at her old photo.

T :(Show an old photo of her when she was a little child .)T: Look at Bobo . That’s so cute. Bobo is different now. What do you think of her before and now? Please say something different for her . (Using the drill :Before , she ______. Now, she

______.)

2.(PPT) 出示姚明现时很搞笑的照片,T: Who is the man? That’s so funny.

Ss: It is Yao Ming .

T: Yao Ming is tall and strong now . What was Yao Ming like before ? Please come and look at Yao Ming’s old photos.(Show the students some pictures of his old photos from a little child to a man ) .What do you think of him before and now?

P l e a s e s a y s o m e t h i n g different for him. (Using the drill: Before , she ______. Now,she ______.)

T: Yao Ming changes a lot.He is so different now . How about Mike and John ? Are they so different now ? What were they like before ? How did they change? Let’s watch the video.

3.Watch the video of “let’s talk” . Then show the questions for the students :

(1).What are they talking about ?

(2). What was Mike like before ? How about now?

(3). How did John change ?

(4).Read the dialogue in role

(5). Show a form for the student and ask them to discuss in groups and fill in the form.4.Make a report for Mike and John

Step 3. Practice

1.Act out the dialogue

Step4 . Consolidation

1. 播放MV 视频(学生个人成长变化足迹)

2. Work in pairs : Talk about the changes in me (学生将提前准备好的个人成长历程卡片拿出来与同伴谈论自己的成长变化)

3. Show time : Say in pairs to talk about their changes

4. Let’s write “ Changes in me ”.

5. Share it in class.

Step 5. Extension

1. 播放视频(信息化时代给人们生活发生的巨大变化)

T:W e a r e c h a n g i n g .Everything is changing. The world is changing . And our life is changing too. Let’s watch the video.

2. 珍惜时间,热爱生活。

T: All in all , Internet and wechat change our life a lot .But we shouldn’t spend much time on it .We should be selective and reasonable to use them .

Step 6、Homework

1. Talk about the changes in your family.

2. Write a composition “Changes in my family”
