1.2 外景/Exterior views

新建筑馆的体量为旧馆内院的三边所限定。为了模糊表面之间的距离以消解位处夹缝中的压迫感,立面铺满倾斜的穿孔钢板。建筑下沉地面半层,底层架空并采用玻璃立面,东西两面向内退2m,以进一步获得轻盈感,减少对地面的压迫。立面划分为九宫格,并进一步由钢板均质划分,与无序的室外环境对比、相衬。新建筑不对旧立面做形态上的呼应,而是视新的立面为一层轻盈的纱网。从室内看,旧建筑立面经过穿孔钢板的过滤而变得均质,新旧的冲突被弱化。内部空间延续立面逻辑,九宫格的正中设中厅,促进通风并改善室内光环境。

The new building volume is framed on three sides by the existing courtyard. To dissolve the sense of constriction of the space and obfuscate distance, its façades are covered with punched steel plates. To further increase the apparent lightness of the building and veil its pressure on the ground, this stilt building is sunken a half-foor below grade and the lowered floor enclosed with glass recessed two meters at the east and west. The building's façades are evenly divided into 3×3 grids and further divided by panels. This homogeneity contrasts with the chaotic existing environment. The new building does not respond formally to the old façades. Instead, the new facades create a gauze-like filter between the two. From the inside, the old façades become blurred and the confict between new and old is weakened. The building’s interior space conforms to the logic of the façade. The atrium at the center of the cube facilitates ventilation and improves lighting.
