[Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic surgery for patients with acute abdomen in the department of general surgery. Methods A total of 260 patients with acute abdomen who underwent laparotomy in our hospital from August 2016 to February 2018 were selected as the conventional group, and 260 patients with acute abdomen who underwent laparoscopic surgery in our hospital from March 2018 to August 2019 were selected as the experimental group. The operation time, the intraoperative blood loss, the postoperative exhaust time, the hospitalization time, the infection rate of the surgical incision, the success rate of operation and the incidence of complications of each group were compared. Results The operation time, postoperative exhaust time and hospitalization time in the experimental group were (60.35±10.26)min, (5.88±1.01)h and (7.52±1.03)d, respectively, which were shorter than those in the conventional group (74.09±11.57)min, (7.26±1.21)h and (10.63±1.28)d. The intraoperative blood loss in the experimental group was (103.95±17.82)mL, which was lower than that of (198.34±20.17) mL in the conventional group. The above-mentioned differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.001). The infection rate of the surgical incision in the experimental group was 1.15%, which was lower than that of (12.69%) in the conventional group. The success rate of operation in the experimental group was 96.92%, which was higher than that of (53.85%) in the conventional group. The above-mentioned differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.001). The total incidence of complications in the experimental group was 1.92%, which was lower than that of (8.85%) in the conventional group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of laparoscopy can reduce the amount of blood loss, shorten the recovery time, reduce the infection rate of the surgical incision, and improve the success rate of the operation of patients with acute abdomen in the department of general surgery, with fewer complications and higher safety.
