学习目标

1.能听、说、读、写单词white, hair, black, uncle,cousin,thin(重点)

2.能认读、理解并会用句型He/She has...介绍人物的外貌。(难点)

教学准备

学生每人准备一张全家福(可以是照片,也可以是图画)。教师将每个学生的全家福搜集到一起,插入情景音乐制作成PPT,并转换成PDF格式。

Step 1.Pre-reading

Greeting and leading-in.

T:Hello! How are you?

Ss: Hello! We’re fine,thanks.

T:I love my family.I’ll introduce my family.Please look at the screen,listen to me carefully.(教师出示自己画的全家福)

This is my fam ily.This is my father.This is my mother.This is me.My mother has long hair.My father has short hair.

T:Boys and girls,it’s time for you to show your fam ily.Who wants to try?

S1:(学生在实物投影仪上展示自己的全家福图画,并做介绍。)

This is my family.This is my mother,this is my father,my parents have one child:me!

T:Quite good.Thanks for sharing.Who wants to try?

S2:(教师在大屏幕出示S2的全家福,学生做介绍。)

I’ll introduce my fam ily to you.This is...I have...

(师引导复习上节课学的词汇和句型:father,mother,I have...My father has...)

T:Well done! You are clever.Is your father thin?Does your grandfather have white hair? Let’s learn how to talk about what your fam ily look like!

Write the title,then read it.

设计意图:通过让学生展示及用屏幕出示全家福图片,介绍家庭成员,复习上节课学过的单词,继续巩固句型I/We have...,并为新课学习做好铺垫。

Step 2.While-reading

Activity 1.

1.Learn the new words and drills:

(PPT出示图片)

T:Please look at the screen.Who are they?

S3:The boy is Li Ming.His hair is black.He is short.

(板书单词 black.)

S4:The man is Li Ming’s uncle.He is tall.

T:He has black eyes.(板书单词 uncle,句子 He has...)

S5:The old man is Li Ming’s grandfather.He is old.He has white hair...

T:He is thin.(板书单词thin)

2.Teach the new words and the drills.

black: black hair, black eyes,I have a black pen.

He has black bike.

My father/My uncle has...He has...

eyes:These are my eyes.My eyes are black.

What colour are my eyes?

Your eyes are brown.

借助图片对比教学 tall,short,fat,thin.

What does he look like?

He is thin.

Teach the new words:uncle, cousin,white, hair, and read them in many ways.

3.More exercises:

Model:T:What does Jenny look like?

S6:She is tall.

T: What colour are her eyes?

S7:Her eyes are black.

Practice in pairs,then show to class.

设计意图:借助图片,由学单词拓展到学句型,避免了词汇学习造成的单一性、枯燥性和局限性,让学生在语境中学习新知、体验新知。

Activity 2

1.Listen to the tape of Part 1 carefully, and think what the text talks about.

T:Who can tell me?

S8:Something about what the fam ily members look like.

T:Thank you for your idea.Please look at the screen,read the questions together.

(大屏幕呈现问题)

How old is Li Ming’s grandfather?

What colour is Li Ming’s grandmother’s hair?

What does Uncle Dachao look like?

Is Li Ming’s mother tall?

What does she look like?

2.Let the students read the questions first,second read the text by themselves,then answer the questions on their owns.

3.Discuss in groups,then show to class.

设计意图:在语篇学习过程中,先让学生听录音初步感知文本内容;然后采用任务型阅读,让学生带着问题读课文,记录答案要点。这样既培养了学生捕捉信息和处理信息的能力,加深了对语篇内容的理解,又形成了学习策略。

Activity 3

(屏幕出示图片)

T:(To S9)I’ll say the number of the picture on the screen.You say what he/she/they looks/look like!

S9:OK.

T:Number 4.

S9:My father is thirty-nine years old.He is tall and thin.

T:Is he right?

Ss:Yes,he’s right.

T:Let’s practice like that in pairs.

设计意图:学生根据任务口令,从图片中提取信息,对图片内容用本节课所学知识进行描述,既巧妙地突破了教学重、难点,又有效地培养了学生的口语表达能力,提高了语言运用能力。

Step 3.Post-reading

1.(师出示图片,学生看图片,完成填空)

This is my_______.My grand father has ______.My grandmother_______white hair,too.My father,my mother,my uncle,my aunt,my cousin and me all have________eyes and black____.My grandparents are______.

My father is______.My aunt has long _____,she is____.My___is a lovely girl.

2.屏幕出示“全家福”PDF格式文件,教师在PDF文件播放中进行任务口令(PDF随机播放叫停处,出现照片的学生仿照例子介绍自己家人的外貌特征)。

S10:Look at this photo.This is my fam ily...

1.学生写一篇小短文介绍家庭成员的外貌特征。

2.全班交流。

Step 4.Sum up and homework

1.Say what you have learned in this class.

2.Read your passage to your parents.

设计意图:学生在模仿教师设计的填充式作文的基础上,介绍自己的家庭成员,由口头表达过渡到书面表达,进一步提高了学生的语言运用技能,达到了学以致用的目的。拓展性的课外作业既紧扣教学要求,又激发了学生课外探究知识的兴趣,提高了学习能力。
