“源• 区”是一座污泥处理厂及环保教育中心，而“源•茶”是区内的休憩茶座。“源• 茶”的设计，贯彻了“源•区”的两大核心价值：创新及可持续发展；于是想到由湾仔码头回收的防撞木制作家具。团队首先分析防撞木长年浸在水中所造成的侵蚀程度；将完整无缺的雕塑成餐枱及长櫈，严重受损的就用来制作“海立方”装饰，以树脂的状态保存。团队给予这些木头一个第二生命，不单保存了珍贵的建筑物料，也保存了所承载的历史。

T • CAFE is a light refreshment area inside T • PARK,a sludge treatment plant and environmental education centre in Hong Kong. To echo the innovation and sustainability, two key values that the centre promotes,designers came up with the idea to recycle fender woods collected from the demolished Wan Chai Pier to fabricate furniture. The team first assessed the degree of erosion of the fender woods resulting from years of submersion in water. Intact ones were sculpted into dining tables and long benches while the seriously defaced wood are made into “Ocean Cubes”, preserved in ocean-blue resin. By giving these woods a second life, the team preserved not only this precious building material but also the history imbued in them.
