农村高中英语报刊阅读的困境及解决策略的研究

对于地处偏远的农村学校来说,英语学习是学生“永远的痛”。由于经济环境的滞后性,从小缺乏英语语言学习的环境,就更谈不上良好的英语阅读习惯了。因此,在高中这三年,如何高效地利用好21世纪报,凸显英语阅读的重大意义,并以此成为提高英语高考分数的一条有效途径呢?良好的阅读习惯的培养是否可以从报刊阅读开始呢?

主要实施步骤:

一、准备阶段

以高学生为对象,调查学生关于21世纪报阅读现状及其困惑,依据学生的不同层次,将学生分为8个小组(8个等级),并将每期的21st century(21世纪报)分为8个专题,并以此为基础,进行为期半年的课前课堂和课后训练研究。

二、实施阶段

(1)分类阅读训练阶段。在第一轮的小组合作学习中,全班8个学习小组每个小组都有固定的编号A---H;同时,把21CENTURY 报划分为8个大的版块---广告图表类;人物故事类;新闻事件;地理天气;旅游类;科普知识;校园生活;文化习俗每个小组在一个月内都选定一个固定的话题,如A组对应广告图表类;B组对应人物故事类;C组对应新闻事件;D组对应地理天气类;E组对应旅游类;F组对应科普知识类;G组对应校园生活类;H组对应文化习俗类。

每个星期的课前给每组同学分配好任务,如A组对应广告图表类,A组的同学就借用skimming或 scanning 的方式找出关键词,及关键的句子,训练快速阅读的力,这跟高考的信息匹配题也是一脉相承的!

Group A组---对应广告图表类,利用这类文章训练学生通过skimming和 scanning等方法,迅速找出关键词的能力.

New York man famous for long hair

A homeless man in New York City has become famous in the city for his hair, which includes a dreadlock(长辫) that goes down to his feet.

It has been said that the homeless man, who calls himself Delfine Vizearra,has not cut his hair since somewhere between 2002 and 2005, according to the Daily Mail. “I couldve sworn(发誓) he had pieces added onto it,”neighbour Glen De filippi,66,told the New York Post. “If he sells it, he could make a million dollars.”

B组对应人物故事类,B组的同学就要每次找出人物的appearance, personality, achievement等方面的情况或者找出故事的5W 和1H,并认真做好笔记。

This is an overview of the story of The Tin Drum, the most famous work by the German Nobel-winning author Gunter Grass, who passed away on April 13 at the age of 87.just as his most renowned ( ) fiction is both the story of an individual and the story of an age, so it is that Grass life cannot be understood apart from the history of Germany. In part this is because he was a very political man, always with much to say about Germany and its relationship with the world. He was called “Germanys conscience(道德,良心)”, because he reminded Germans of a past- that many would have rather forgotten.

學生笔记:Who——a little boy;When——between 1923 and 1954 ;Where—— Germany;What——the little boy refused to grow up;Why——he hated the whole world

如C组对应新闻事件类要求这组的同学每次用一句话总结新闻内容。

如D组对应地理天气类要求这组的同学们每次找出关于地理天气特征的单词,然后由这组的同学扮演好weather forecaster 的角色。

如E组对应旅游类要求这组的同学们找出4到5句描述旅游景点或旅游心得的句子并翻译成中文。

如F组对应科普知识类要求这组的同学们充当科普解说员,上网搜索这类科普知识的通俗解释用更简单通俗的语言来解释每次出现的科普知识。

如G组对应校园生活类要求这组学生模仿材料写一篇自己学校的校园生活的浓缩版本!

如H组对应文化习俗类要求这组的学生找出和自己国家文化习俗的similarity和difference。

(2)八个小组互换阅读任务阶段。8个学习小组两两配对,按照八个专题任务的难易程度,依托8个学习小组的学习能力进行合理的互换任务。在互换任务的过程中,每个小组都要考虑自己小组的等级进行理性的互换,每次互换的间隔时间是一个月!

(3)阅读八大题材的文章并写出读后感,以此来提升阅读能力。通过每期报纸八大专题素材的积累,8个学习小组交流心得体会,以文字的形式写出八大素材的读后感,让学生的阅读有一个质的变化。endprint
