黄金三分钟

摘 要:在新课程理念下,每节英语课该如何开始才最有效呢?为了提高学生的口语表达能力,一直坚持用课前三分钟演讲的形式对学生进行课堂口语训练,收到了较好的教学效果。

关键词:课前演讲;愉快学习;活学活用

英语是世界上使用最广泛的语言,因此,熟练地运用英语是现代人所必备的技能之一。初中英语的教学目的是使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识,培养学生在交际中初步运用英语的能力。

一、重在参与,激发学生学习英语的热情

学生初次上讲台面对全班同学讲话,需要勇气和胆量,老师应当多鼓励学生。课前三分钟口语训练,要求人人都参与,无一例外。同学上台时,大家鼓掌欢迎,讲完后,无论讲得怎样都应报以掌声。结束后,老师作简要评分。

二、循序渐进,提高学生的英语综合能力

经过一段时间的练习,绝大多数学生消除了胆怯的心理,对每节课讲的知识产生了兴趣,每个学生都尽力去展示自己最完美的一面。所以,每节英语课上都有可能出现新奇的演讲内容。学生对此产生了较大的兴趣,每天学生都急不可耐地等着这一刻。

例如:一次,根据所学几个句型造句,要求学生们稍做准备,当堂演讲。王同学整理出一个故事。

My best friend is an outstanding student. He is very outgoing. He studies hard,so I think he is a hard-working student and he loves to kid. He is very kind and he truly cares about his parents.

又如: I have many rules. At home, I have to get up early every morning .My home is not far from my school, so I have to walk to school every day. At school,I have to wear the school uniform. I cant listen to music in the classroom. After school,I cant play balls with my classmates. When I get home,I have to do my homework first. After dinner,I must play the guitar for one hour. I have to go to bed before 10:00 pm.

这是贾学生在学完了新目标七年级下(2013年春季版)Us1~4后作的一个演讲,他融合了Us1~4所有内容,充分运用了所学知识。

这种演讲可以是多角度的。这类口语训练方式不仅调动了 学生学习英语的兴趣,加深了对所学知识的理解,而且能够扩展学生的思路,培养学生的创造性和想象力。

三、精益求精,提升口语能力,渲染學习英语的课堂气氛

成功的课前演讲,演讲者畅所欲言,听众精神集中,师生之间交流互动,无疑是精妙的课堂导入。精彩的课前演讲,能激发学生的学习兴趣,保持良好的注意状态,活跃课堂气氛,让学生情感双向和谐交流,产生师生共鸣,达到提高教学效率的目的。学生在活跃的课堂气氛中,以饱满的精神迎接下面的课堂教学,学习效果必定事半功倍。

在学了形容词、副词的比较级和一些句型后,有两个学生作了这样的演讲:

韩同学:A really good friend truly cares about me and makes me laugh. My best friend Nelly is a good girl. We often study together. I study harder than her, but her grades are better than mine. So I think I must study harder and harder. We like the same saying: The more you study, the betterresult youll have.

熊同学:I have a cousin. He and I are twelve years old. And in some ways, we look the same. In some ways, we look different. He is a little quieter than me. I am more outgoing. He likes English, but I like math better. So we often get together and learn from each other. He can run faster and jump higher than me. But we have the same hobby—we like playing chess. On weekends, we often play chess together. But I never win. I always say:“One day, I will win.”

有时用最简单的英语可以说出最漂亮的英语,用已学到的英语词汇,我们完全能表达出自己的思想。

四、课前演讲的不足与改进

在演讲中,有学生自我介绍的,有讲自己兴趣爱好的,有回顾自己最难忘的一段经历的,表达能力都存在差异,演讲的效果可能不尽如人意。对那些胆量小、口头表达能力较差的学生,每次讲话结束,老师评定分数时,要尽可能挖掘他们的闪光点,有意识地培养他们的信心和自尊。

如此长期训练,学生的英语口语表达能力肯定会有很大提高。只有充分调动教学双方的积极性,才能提高教学效率。
