Today Im very glad to be standing here and talking about Unit 11 Peoples and Countries Lesson 62 in Book 4 of starting line primary English.

学会并掌握六个短语和一些句型。
Phrases: ①Eiffel Tower ②cherry blossom ③Disneyland ④CN Tower ⑤Big Ben ⑥Opera House
Drills: Where does Edward come from?
He comes from Canada.
What is his city famous for?
Its famous for the CN Tower.
b.能力目标
训练学生的听说读写能力,提高他们的交际能力并鼓励他们说更多的英语。
c.情感目标
Make the students feel successful and enjoy English;
Make them love their own country;
Make them love the peace of the world.

① When the subject is the third person singular,how to use the predicate verb.

Part Ⅲ.教学步骤
Step1.复习
I will show Students the pictures of Lesson 61 and ask Who is he/she? Where does he/she come from? Where does he/she live?
Students answer my questions according to the cards and pictures.
Step 2.导入
1.Free talk about famous cities and places.
T:Binbin comes from China.He lives in Beijing. Do you know what Beijing is famous for? Beijing is famous for the Great Wall.What else do you know about Beijing?
Ss:Tiananmen Square,the Summer Palace,Beihai Park,etc...
目的:聯系学生生活实际并创造轻松的语言氛围。
2.Guessing game—What country/city is it in?
T:Show some pictures to Ss.
Ss:Give their answers.
目的:让学生了解更多的世界名胜。
Step 3.听音标号

a.Encourage Ss to guess the meaning of the new phrases.
b.Reading practice.
c.New language point:
Teachers example:Where does Edward come from? He comes from Canada.Where does he live? He lives in Toronto.What is his city famous for? Its famous for the CN Tower.
Asking questions:Where does Tom come from? Where does he live? What is his city famous for?
Encourage Ss to say:Tom comes from the United Kingdom.He lives in London.His city is famous for Big Ben.
Purpose:以谈论话题的方式讨论新语言点。
d.More practice:
Ss make dialogues according to their own information cards.
