如此人才

老张和老王是大学同学,关系甚好。毕业后俩人分别到了两家不同的单位,俩人境遇基本相同,工作平常,无甚起色。一日喝酒,老张老王咳声叹气,同病相怜。俩人说,如此下去,怎么是好?得想点法子。二人灵机一动,主意有了。

第二天,老张向单位领导打了辞职报告,领导二话没说,同意。

俩人在时,几乎没人注意他们,尽管他们也做了很多工作,尽管也有一些成绩,但荣誉的光环始终照不到他们头上,即便成绩大大的,那也是领导领导的有方。如今这人一走,人们才意识到他们的重要性,工作程序一下子打乱了,策划有头无尾无法进行下去,经常打交道的客户也都无形中断了线。

领导急了,命令人事部经理赶紧招人,人事部经理也很为难,说现在人很多,但像老张(老王)这样的专业人才不多,况且还有个适应过程,这事急不得。领导说,我们给高薪,不信招不来人。

老张老王难得清闲,二人每天喝酒品茶,逍遥得很。两周过去了,老哥俩儿说差不多了,该咱兄弟出山了。

于是,老张到老王的单位应聘,老王到老张的单位应聘。两家单位正愁眉不展求贤若渴时,突然来了如此优秀的人才,一下子像见了救星。领导分别对老张和老王说,我们十分重视青年人才,我们尽一切可能为人才提供施展本领的舞台,欢迎你们的加盟。

又过了两周,在领导非常诚恳的邀请之下,老张老王终于又找到了就业的机会,不同的是,两人分别被委以重任,还分到了两室一厅的房子。领导在欢迎会上说,谁说我们不重视人才,我们对于人才的态度是鲜明的,我们给予人才的待遇也是其他单位望尘莫及的。今后,我们还要积极引进人才。

老张和张王晚上出去喝酒,忍不住先哈哈大笑,说,真有意思,我们成才的速度简直破了吉尼斯记录了。

Mr. Wang and Mr. Zhang were close friends ever since they were college classmates.After they graduated from the college,Mr. Zhang was assigned to work in one company and Mr. Wang in another. They busied themselves in doing similar routine work for sometime and found they were in a pitiable situation:They do not have good career opportunities. One day they met to drink. At the thought of their present situation, they sighed like two patients sympathizing with each other and started lamenting over their fate. They said something had to be done before their future was ruined.But what were they to do?They thought and thought and suddenly they had an idea.

The next day Mr. Zhang handed in his resignation, which was promptly approved by the chief manager of the company.

On that day Mr.Wang also handed in his resignation to chief manager,who immediately accepted it without saying any work.

In the companies they were practically ignored in spite of much work they had done. They never won an honor in spite of the successes they had achieved while their managers,wise-ly taking advantage of their successes, were showered with honors.However since they resigned,people came to realize they were the very persons indispensable to the companins:Op-erations they had undertaken were disrupted;plans they had carried out could hardly continue,and clients they had worked with stopped doing business with their companies.

Serious problems arising in the companies troubled the chief managers of the two companies. Each chief manager ordered the personnel manager to recruit a new worker.But each personnel manager reported that it was very difficult to find a professional worker as experienced as Mr.Wang(or Mr.Zhang),and it was not right to take hasty steps in recruiting a new worker because a new recruit still needed a long time to adapt himself to the job.At last each chief manager gave the order that high salary should be used as a bait to catch able recruits.

Meanwhile Mr.Zhang and Mr.Wang were at leisure for the first time in the past few years. They spent every day sipping tea or drinking wine and they really had a good time. Two weeks flied and they decided it was high time each of them should look for a new job.

The following day Mr.Zhang applied for a position in the company Mr.Wang had worked with.And Mr.Wang applied for a post in the company where Mr.Zhang had worked before. Seeing they were talents that could help them out, the chief managers who had been sverely troubled,therefore very thirsty for talented people in the past few days said enthusiastically “Welcome to join us.We respect talented young men very much. We'll do our best to offer you outstanding career opportunities.”

Two weeks later Mr.Zhang and Mr.Wang accepted the ardent invitation from the chief managers and committed themselves to the new jobs. This time each one entered management and was awarded a two-bed room apartment.

At the welcome party held in each company the chief man-ager solemnly said,“Some people say we do not respect talents.That is wrong. Our attitudes towards talented people are firm and distinctive.The excellent pay and preferential conditions we offer to the talents far surpass those offered by other companies.And in the future we'll take more active measures to attract talented peo-ple.”

That evening Mr. Zhang and Mr. Wang went out to dink.Talking about their experience,they couldn't refrain from bursting out laughing.They said,“How funny it is that we become talented people at a world-record-breaking speed.”
