What Exactly Is Science? The Bias and Prejudice of the Popular View of “Science” as Seen in Newton’s Alchemical Manuscripts
Wen Yi
Abstract:The relationship between modern science and the axiomatic-deductive method of ancient Greece has been wrongly exaggerated, while its relationship with ancient Chinese science and technology has been seriously underestimated. This paper utilizes the conceptual evolution and experimental technological breakthroughs in the history of modern chemistry to reevaluate the nature of scientific activity and its relationship with technology, and reveals that ancient Chinese scientists were no less capable of understanding and discovering the laws of nature than the ancient Greeks.

Corrective Justice: The Public Symbol of Judicial Identity
Chen Hongjie
Abstract:In a highly differentiated and unbalanced society, law,as a social system,is doomed to be unable to construct a universally accepted homogeneous justice imagination simply by virtue of impartial moral and rational assumptions. The so-called “public opinion trial” phenomenon and other endless public opinion events show that the seemingly universal formal justice and moral rationality cannot exceed the individual social relations situation. In order to avoid the potential risk of dissent, even the universal justice based on the achievements of high degree of institutional rationalization still needs to respond to the social demands for individual correction. The most praiseworthy point of the people’s judicature, which originated in the revolutionary era,is that it effectively responded to the heterogeneous challenge of the transformation of the times with a materialistic dialectic that not only advocates differences but also balances them. This seemingly contradictory paradoxical expression is not to subvert the universal norms by indulging in the worship of heterogeneity to strengthen differences, nor is it to arbitrarily pacify differences. It is a dedifferentiation treatment based on the recognition and respect of differences: all parties should strive to promote their own special interests, but they can only choose the principles that are acceptable to everyone else.In terms of the subjective perception of the realization of judicial identity,it may not only be the justice unilaterally imposed by the state, but also the justice chosen by the society.

The Failure of “Universal Interventionism” and the Exploration of Pluralistic Space Order
Fang Xu
Abstract:The collective security mechanism of the League of Nations has not been played in a series of events such as the “September 18 Incident” and the Italian invasion of Ethiopia, and the “universal interventionism” of the nature of the alliance of states under the guise of “permanent peace” has completely failed. It is an important reason that the connotation of “Monroe Doctrine” has changed from the regional space to prevent the interference of external forces to the important means of maintaining the hegemony of the United States with universal interventionism. With the outbreak of the “Pearl Harbor incident”,Japan’s transformation of the “Monroe Doctrine” into the “Greater East Asia Co-prosperity sphere” and the space of the Americas represented by the United States clashed in the Pacific space, meanwhile, the “Central European space” represented by Germany and the “Slavic space” represented by the Soviet Union in the Eastern European battlefield headed on collision as well,Schmitt began to carry out a profound reflection on the German “great space order”.After the exploration of the pluralistic space order of the “liberal hegemonic system” of the United States and the “New Latin Empire” of France, the new era calls for a new pluralistic space order with fairness, common, cooperation and sustainability as its development direction.

Liu Jian
Abstract:At the beginning of the 21st century, because of the need to establish a socialist market economy system in the field of culture and art,as well as the consideration of ideology and cultural security, with an aim to seize the development opportunities of emerging industries and comply with the cultural system reform,China has begun to construct a policy system for the animation industry.Over ten years of development,a complete policy system consisting of six parts, including “preferential tax policy”,“provide special support funds for the industry”,“support industrial parks, increase industrial concentration and cultivate backbone enterprises”,“media supervision and policy support”,“improvement of technological level” as well as “implement the strategy of going global”,has been formed, which has promoted the leapfrog development of China’s animation industry. As for the problems that arise in the process of policy implementation, targeted adjustments, enrichment as well as improvement should be made to maximize the effectiveness of the policy.
