和丹:我想为浙江与非洲的相互了解做点事

“超級丹”的浙江足迹
和丹来自索马里,是浙江师范大学的一位老师。
用和丹自己的话来说,她“从小就一直向往()来到中国”。结果真的来了,并且一待就是13年。这13年和丹收获颇丰:2006年来到金华,在浙江师范大学攻读本科学位、汉语国际教育硕士学位;2010年8月获CCTV“汉语桥”大赛银奖;2016年6月获浙江大学传播学博士学位;2016年9月受聘到浙江师范大学非洲研究院工作,承担教学、科研任务及非洲博物馆的日常管理及文物考证工作;2017年正式受聘为索马里总统顾问,向总统及其办公室就索马里国家发展、中国与索马里两国相关领域合作提供政策咨询和信息参考。
和丹博士通索马里语、阿拉伯语、汉语、英语,并能熟练运用这四种语言进行学术研究与写作。她曾在耶鲁大学及中国香港浸会大学、浙江大学以及南京大学等国内外高校参加学术会议并发表会议论文,并在《当代电影》《当代传播》《中国传媒报告》以及Asian Journal of Comparative Politics等中外学术期刊发表学术论文多篇。她还联合执导了6集纪录片《我从非洲来》,与张勇博士联合执导《非洲人在义乌》纪录片。
Ta眼里的浙江
和丹踏足过亚非欧美,也去过中国许多城市,她说,与浙江的情谊最深。
和丹喜欢浙江的山水相连、四季分明,“每次开春,绿油油的柳丝、盛开的花,都让我欣喜。”
她佩服浙江人温文尔雅、敢为人先,“浙江人吃苦耐劳,工作不停歇,一步一个脚印干出来。”
2018年8月,中国国家主席习近平会见索马里总统穆罕默德,和丹作为总统顾问陪同参加会见。
以中非关系和非洲发展为研究专业,加上13年的中国生活经历,让和丹成为名副其实的“中国通”,所以对于浙江的变化她很有发言权。
她眼里的浙江发展飞速——火车越来越快了,高铁风驰电掣,千里京杭一日还;生活越来越便利了,从家去影院只需步行几分钟;美丽乡村的浪漫气息,保留着乡土韵味;拔地而起的高楼,见证着“浙江速度”……
和丹的同事、来自尼日利亚的李坤对浙江之变也深有体会:“G20杭州峰会让世界知道了浙江,我的非洲朋友们都想来浙江逛逛。”
和丹的心愿是“为促进中国和非洲的相互了解、相互信任、共同发展做一些力所能及的事。”
Hodan Osman Abdi has been in Zhejiang for 13 years. She came in 2006 to study at Zhejiang Normal University, which is located in Jinhua, a central city in the heart of Zhejiang. She attained a bachelors degree and a postgraduate degree from the university before she went on to take a doctoral degree from Zhejiang University in June 2016. Since September 2016 she has been working as a member of Africa Institute of Zhejiang Normal University. In 2017 she was engaged to serve as an advisor to the President of Somali, her home country. Among her job description was to provide advice and information the matter of cooperation between China and Somali.
With proficiency in Somali, Arabic, Chinese, and English, Hodan Osman Abdi works with the four languages in conducting academic research and writing papers. She has attended lectures held at Yale University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Yuan Ze University of Taiwan, Zhejiang University and Nanjing University. She has published a series of papers in , , and . She had jointly conducted , a six-episode documentary, and , which is also a documentary.
Hodan Osman Abdi has traveled worldwide and visited many cities in China. She says she has a deep bond with Zhejiang. She likes the perfect fusion of mountains and rivers across the province and she likes the climate of four distinct seasons. “I enjoy fuzzy greens and blooming flowers in the spring in Zhejiang.”
And she likes the characteristics of people of Zhejiang. “Zhejiang people are hard working and they fear no hardship. They never stop working and they are absolutely down-to-earth doers.”
With a 13-year experience of studying and working with a focus on the Sino-African relations and development issues of Africa, she has now an old China hand. And she believes she is a solid witness to huge changes that have taken place in Zhejiang. High-speed trains facilitate travel fast between Hangzhou and Beijing. Life is more convenient. It is just a few minutes walk from her home to a cinema. Rural development retains the traditional charms. Mushrooming high-rises are landmarks of the provinces exponential economic growth.
Hodan Osman Abdi desires to bring the knowledge of Chinas development to Africa and play a part in enhancing mutual understanding and trust between China and Africa.
