老西：我也是一个巨化人

“老西”的浙江足跡

2019年7月，87岁的西特里维·德米特里·尼基弗诺维奇从俄罗斯赶来杭州，参加在这里举行的浙江省属企业人才工作推进会暨巨化“人才强企”推介会。会议气氛热烈，就和杭州的天气一样。

“我亲身经历了巨化氟化工的成长壮大。看着巨化氟化工的成长，就像看着自己的孩子一般，心中充满欣慰与自豪：孩子长大了。”被巨化人亲切地称为“老西”的西特里维，是俄罗斯应用化学科学中心原总工程师，1994年受聘于浙江省衢州市巨化集团任技术指导，一待就是25年。在会议上，老西动情地说，巨化和浙江对科技人才的重视让他充满激情、干劲十足，“我希望更多的专家、人才来到浙江，这个选择不会错。”

1994年，中俄合资企业浙江巨圣氟化学有限公司成立，老西受聘担任浙江省衢州市巨化集团的技术指导。

浙江被老西看作是自己的第二故乡，用他的话说：“浙江让我有用武之地。”老西把浙江当作了自己的家，努力地为企业贡献自己的力量，这些年获奖无数——

1997年获得浙江省首届“西湖友谊奖”;

2004年被浙江省人民政府授予劳动模范称号，成为浙江省首位外籍劳动模范;

2016年获浙江省“西湖友谊杰出贡献奖”;

2018年获改革开放40周年最具影响力的外国专家称号;同年11月，获得浙江省国有企业特别贡献奖。

Ta眼里的浙江

每天清晨，在浙江衢州巨化宾馆旁的公园里，人们经常可以看到一位年近九旬的俄罗斯老人。他拄着拐杖在绿茵道散步，精神矍铄。大家都亲切地叫他“老西”。而他也很喜欢“老西”这个称呼，他说，这让他有一种融入的感觉。

1994年，老西来到浙江，一待就是25年。

他是浙江第一位“洋劳模”，在浙江这块热土上默默耕耘，无私地为浙江巨化氟化工发展献计献策，用专业和敬业架起了中俄两国友谊的桥梁。

老西目睹了浙江的快速发展，也对浙江充满了感情。他说：“浙江历来重视与国际的交流与合作，省外专局领导每年都参加我的生日晚宴，送来祝福和问候。到浙江工作让我感觉自己是被需要的。可以说，在浙江我拥有了第二次生命……”

“这些年来，浙江发展迅速，成立了许多合资企业。接下来我还想留在浙江。在单位，我还能在很多技术问题上提供帮助。”

他很庆幸能在浙江扎下了根，接下来他还要继续在巨化发光发热，和那些为梦想而努力的人们一起并肩奋斗。“浙江经济社会发展迅速，越来越美丽和国际化，愿为浙江经济社会发展、为中俄友谊继续贡献力量。”

87-year-old Sitlivy Dmitry has been in Zhejiang for 25 years. The Russian engineer came over as a technological advisor to Juhua Group， a chemistry production powerhouse in Quzhou in southwestern Zhejiang. Since then Sitlivy Dmitry has considered Quzhou his second home. In his own words， “It is in Zhejiang that my life has come into full blossom.”

Before he came to China， he was chief engineer of the Russian Scientific Center of Applied Chemistry. Under his leadership in Zhejiang， experts from both sides worked hard to start the production of polytetrafluoroethylene （PTFE） within three months， leading to the largest-scale cooperation at the time between the two countries in this field.

Discovered in 1983， PTFE is a synthetic compound of carbon and fluorine， and has found applications in nonstick cookware， among other daily-use items.

In the 1990s when Chinas fluorine industry was still in its infancy and relevant expertise was limited， Sitlivy Dmitry put all his efforts into training his Chinese colleagues.

From chemical mechanisms， material supplies， use of facilities， analysis methodologies to security and environmental issues， he taught Chinese technicians without reservation and gradually cultivated a number of talents.

His contribution in Zhejiang to Chinas modernization has been widely recognized. Among his friends and colleagues in Quzhou he is fondly known as Old Si， a shortened nickname from Sitlivy. In 1997， he was a recipient of “West Lake Friendship Award”， which was issued that year for the first time in Zhejiang. In 2004， Zhejiang Provincial Government conferred “Model Worker” upon him， the first of its kind ever won by an international expert in the province. In 2016， he was awarded the “West Lake Prize for Outstanding Contribution” issued by Zhejiang Provincial Government. In 2018， he was named one of “The Most Influential Foreign Experts during 40 Years of Chinas Reform and Opening-Up”.

Old Si has witnessed the exponential growth of Zhejiang and he is in love with the province. “Zhejiang is always giving top priority to international exchanges and cooperation. Leaders of Zhejiang Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs have attended my birthday party every year for the past 25 years. My work in Zhejiang makes me feel needed and fulfilled. Zhejiang has given me second life，” says Old Si. “Zhejiang has had a large number of joint ventures in these years of fast growth. I want to stay in Zhejiang. I can still be useful in providing assistance on technological issues.”
