新丝绸之路

景观设计：詹姆斯·希契莫夫，汤姆·斯图尔特·史密斯

我们此次设计的灵感源自丝绸之路，由东向西穿过中国干燥的中部草原。我们的花园根据植物的生物地理起源，选用丝绸之路景观带沿线的植物，构建从中国到西方的花园旅程。通过花园植被的设计，集中体现城市森林、节水园林、海绵城市等生态概念。借此展园表达，中国，作为一个地跨东西的大国，必将以新的贸易路线、交通运输方式和各类交流，使各国变得更近，使世界变得更小。

The garden is inspired by the idea of the Silk Road, crossing the steppes of China from east to west. The East-West nature of the Silk Road is reflected in the bio-geographic origins of the plant species used across the garden, and the journey of each visitor through the garden. The show garden is a platform to present ecological concepts such as Urban Forest, Water-saving Landscape and Sponge City. The garden also conveys a message about the significance of China as a nation that spans from East to West and how new trade routes and methods of transport and communication are forever making the world a more connected place.
