Abstract:Based on Kadushi's functional approach, the paper describes and analyzes the practice of joint supervision, which is used widely in medical social work. Three problems have been found during the joint supervision process: lack of systematicness in administrative supervision, lack of operability in educational supervision and lack of depth in supportive supervision. The paper proposes that both sides of the joint supervisors should build up an internal communication channel to clarify the process of administrative supervision, specify the contents of educational supervision, and improve the level of joint supervision to enhance educational quality for medical social worker.
