【教学内容】

The Three Gorges Dam是外语教学与研究出版社《英语》（新标准）高中必修3第6模块的阅读课文。这篇课文简要介绍了三峡大坝的相关历史、基本信息并分析了其修建的优缺点。

文章篇幅不长，难度适中，内容对于学生们而言也是非常熟悉的。本堂课以介绍一首关于三峡的古诗的英译版本开始，引出本堂课的主题并激发学生的学习兴趣；然后展示了一些关于三峡及三峡大坝的图片，使得学生对即将学习的内容有一个直观的了解。在做好充分的准备工作后，我组织学生进行快速阅读，划分文章框架，把握文章大意。接下来的精读中，我基于文章每部分设置了一些问题，引导学生在找到答案的同时对课文进行进一步的理解。之后，通过两种巩固练习，使学生们能够深化对文章的理解。

【教学目标】

语言知识：学生通过学习三峡大坝的文章，知道從几方面进行叙述建筑物以及如何叙述，从而写出描述五星花园下穿隧道工程的文章。

语言技能：

1. 学习这篇介绍三峡大坝的文章，训练学生速读、细读的阅读技能；

2. 培养学生借助旧知识来处理新知识的能力；

3. 能从文章中获取和处理主要信息；

4. 能训练学生的记忆能力，学完课文后，即能复述文章大意。

学习策略：培养良好的自主学习、合作探究精神。

文化意识：增进对三峡大坝的全面了解。

情感态度：为大坝成功建成自豪。

【教学过程】

I. Pre-reading

Step1 Lead-in

Share some pictures of the Three Gorges and a poem describing the Three Gorges and then pictures of the Three Gorges Dam with students.

（设计意图：通过图片以及学生已有的知识，激发学生了解三峡及三峡大坝更多信息的兴趣，从而愉快地进入这篇描写三峡大坝的文章。）

II. While-reading

Step1 Fast Reading： Listen to the tape and do the task below.
