· 越南祖国阵线代表团访渝
2016年12月19日—21日,越南祖国阵线代表团中央委员会副主席兼秘书长陈青敏率团访渝。重庆市政协主席徐敬业会见了陈青敏一行,双方进行了友好交流。越南祖国阵线与中国人民政治协商会议重庆市委员会(简称“重庆市政协”)在国内的作用相似。陈青敏表示,愿与重庆市政协在合作框架下进一步合作与交流,探讨重庆市政协和越南祖国阵线在食品健康、环境保护、组织人民群众创业创新,以及反腐中所扮演的角色,并希望学习中方的模式与宝贵经验。
在渝期间,代表团还参观了大足石刻、重庆中国三峡博物馆和重庆市规划展览馆,并考察了璧山区秀湖生态公园、璧山区文化艺术中心等地。代表团成员高度评价了重庆人民开拓创新、奋发向上的精神,并对重庆市的规划表示赞赏。
· 南非驻华大使来渝访问
2016年12月13日—15日,南非驻华大使多拉娜・姆西曼率团一行4人来渝访问。12月14日下午,副市长刘桂平会见客人一行,双方就深化经贸、卫生、文教、旅游等方面的互利友好合作事宜交换了意见。
在渝期间,代表团与我市共同举办了投资南非推介会。来自我市进出口贸易、装备制造、食品加工等行业的20多家企业,以及市政府外事侨务办、市商务委、市贸促会等部门代表出席推介洽谈会,开展项目对接洽谈。代表团还参观了重庆市规划展览馆,考察了海扶医疗科技公司等企业。

2016年12月12日,市政府外事侨务办主任吴康明会见韩国驻成都总领事安成国。吴康明说,近年来,重庆与韩国友好交流合作不断加强,人员往来频繁,地方合作紧密、人文交流活动丰富多彩、经贸合作迅速发展。特别是2005年韩国驻成都总领事馆设立以来,一直积极推动重庆与韩国各领域的交流与合作,在重庆举办了许多卓有成效的经贸文化交流活动,对加强双方合作、加深相互理解发挥了十分重要的促进作用。
安成国说,韩国政府非常重视发展与重庆的关系,韩国企业看好重庆经贸领域的发展机遇,韩国国民重视与重庆由来已久的特殊情谊,北京现代落户重庆等重要项目也正说明了这一点。韩国驻成都总领事馆将继续加强与重庆的联系,扩大合作、加深友谊,推动双方在经贸、文化、教育学术、地区交流等领域的合作。

2016年12月13日,市政府外事侨务办副主任唐文会见了瑞士首任驻成都总领事范溢文。唐文向客人介绍了重庆市经济社会发展情况,以及重庆与瑞士交往合作的总体情况。他说,近年来,重庆和瑞士保持着密切的交往,友好关系进一步发展。重庆目前正处于高速发展的重大历史机遇期,瑞士的医药业、机械制造业、钟表业、金融业、环保技术都比较发达,重庆与瑞士未来合作潜力巨大,前景广阔。
范溢文说,从唐文副主任的介绍中,他看到了双方的互补性和合作潜力。他介绍了瑞士经济、产业发展情况。他表示,瑞士驻成都总领事馆的主要职责是经济商务,他将推动经济商务合作项目,引荐更多瑞士公司来渝寻求合作机会。
· 2016“中国寻根之旅”海外华裔青少年体验巴渝文化
2016年12月17日,由国务院侨务办公室主办,重庆市政府外事侨务办、重庆师范大学承办的2016年海外华裔青少年“中国寻根之旅”冬令营—重庆营开营。重庆师范大学校长周泽扬、市政府外事侨务办副主任杨大庆出席开营式并致辞。
冬令营期间,来自澳大利亚、印度尼西亚、马来西亚、缅甸、加拿大5个国家的204名华裔青少年和领队,在渝进行为期15天的中华文化体验,开展汉语、中国民族舞蹈、中华武术、书法、茶艺等中华传统文化课程,参观世界文化遗产大足石刻、綦江农民版画、铜梁安居古城、合川钓鱼城,感受独具魅力的巴渝文化,参观重庆市规划展览馆,在两江新区机器人示范中心感受科技之魅力,到渝中区劳动技术教育基地彩陶中心体验手工劳动的乐趣,进一步加深了华裔青少年对祖籍国的了解和对中国文化的感知及热爱。

· 首届重庆芬兰文化交流季在渝举行
2016年12月17日—2017年1月3日,“你好,芬兰”首届重庆芬兰文化交流季在重庆举行。来自芬兰贸易投资旅游促进总署、芬兰驻华领事机构、芬兰图尔库市的相关官员,以及芬兰旅游局、芬兰航空、重庆市贸促会等20多家商贸行业和企业代表,出席了12月17日举行的开幕仪式。
当天,由联合国官方认证的“圣诞老人”以芬兰文化使者的身份出现在开幕式上,参加了“2016年中华文化小使者给圣诞老人讲中国故事”活动。该活动由重庆市与芬兰罗瓦涅米市、图尔库市相关单位共同举办,2016年5月18日启动以来,重庆已有1万多名文化小使者向“圣诞老人”送出了用文字、图画等形式讲述“中国故事”的信件。
活动期间,芬兰的企业代表还与重庆企业界代表,就物资回收、生物科学及通讯技术等领域进行了广泛交流。

The delegation of Vietnam Fatherland Front Visited Chongqing
From December 19 to 21, a delegation headed by Chen Qingmin, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the delegation of V ietnam Fatherland Front, visited Chongqing. Xu Jingye, Chairman of the Chongqing Municipal CPPCC, met Chen Qingmin and his party, and friendly exchanges had been made between the two sides. The Vietnam Fatherland Front shares the same function with Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese people’s Political Consultative Conference (abbreviated as “Chongqing Municipal CPPCC”). Chen Qingmin said, they were willing to further the cooperation and communication under the cooperation framework, discussing the roles played by Chongqing Municipal CPPCC and Vietnam Fatherland Front in food and health, environmental protection, organizing people to pioneering and innovation as well as anti-corruptions, hoping to learn from the Chinese mode and valuable experience.
The delegation also visited Dazu Rock Carvings, Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery and investigated Xiuhu Ecological Park and Culture Art Center in Bishan District, etc. The members of the delegation highly appraised Chongqing people’s spirits of innovation and progression with appreciations for the planning of Chongqing.
The South African ambassador to China visited Chongqing
From December 13 to 15 in 2016, Dolana Msimang, the South African Ambassador to China, heading a 3-person delegation, visited Chongqing. On the afternoon of December 14, 2016, Liu Guiping, the V ice Mayor, met the guest and her party. The two sides exchanged ideas in mutually beneficial and friendly cooperation matters, which includes economy and trade, hygiene, culture and education, tourism, etc.
The promotion conference of South Africa was jointly organized by the delegation and Chongqing during their stay in Chongqing. The promotion and discussion conference was attended by more than 20 enterprises in Chongqing dealing in import and export trade, equipment manufacturing, food processing, etc. as well as the department representatives of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, Chongqing Commerce Commission and Chongqing Sub-council of CCPIT and so on. The delegation also visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery and investigated Haifu Medical Technology Company, etc.

On December 12, 2016, W u Kangming, Director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Off ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government met An Sungguk, Consul General of Korea in Chengdu. Wu said, in recent years, the friendly communication and cooperative, enhancing by Chongqing and Korea, have brought frequent personnel exchanges, cohesive cooperation, colorful cultural and educational exchanges, and rapid developments of economic and trade cooperation. Especially in 2005, after the establishment of Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu, the communication and cooperation in each f eld have been energetically promoted between Chongqing and Korea. Many fruitful events of economy and trade and cultural exchanges, which were held in Chongqing, played a very important role in promoting bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding.
An Sung Kook said, South Korean Government attached great importance to the development of relation with Chongqing. Korean enterprises are optimistic about the development opportunities in f elds of economy and trade in Chongqing and the Korea nationals think highly of the special and long-standing friendship, which can be exactly illustrated by the settle-down of Beijing Hyundai in Chongqing. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chengdu will continue to strengthen the connection with Chongqing by expanding cooperation and deepening friendship and make joint efforts to accelerate the cooperation in f elds like economy and trade, culture, education and academy, regional communication and so on.
Consul General of Switzerland in Chengdu visited Chongqing
On December 13, 2016, Tang Wen, Deputy Director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Off ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, met Fan Yiwen, the first Consul General of Switzerland in Chengdu. Tang Wen introduced the economic and social development of Chongqing and the general situation of communication and cooperation with Switzerland to guests. He said, in recent years, Chongqing and Switzerland have maintained tight contacts and the friendship between the two sides has been further developed. Chongqing is currently under the great historical opportunity of high-speed development. However, for the relatively developed pharmaceutical industry, machinery manufacturing industry, the watch industry, financial industry, environmental protection technology owned by Switzerland, there must be a huge cooperative potential for the future cooperation between Chongqing and Switzerland with a promising future.
Fan Yiwen said, from the introduction by Deputy Director Tang Wen, he caught sight of the complementarity and cooperation potential of two sides. And he introduced the economic and industrial development in Switzerland. He also remarked that the main responsibility of Consulate General of Switzerland in Chengdu is the economic business, so he would promote cooperative projects of economic business and introduce more Swiss companies to Chongqing to seek cooperative opportunities.
Overseas ethnic Chinese adolescents came to Chongqing to experience the Bayu culture in 2016 “Chinese Rootseeking Tour”
On December 17, 2016, the 2016 “Chinese Root-seeking Tour”Winter Camp of overseas ethnic Chinese adolescents was opened in Chongqing, which was a branch in Chongqing and sponsored by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of The State Council and undertook by Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Off ce of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Chong Qing Normal University. Zhou Zeyang, president of Chong Qing Normal University, and Yang Daqing, Deputy Director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
During the winter camp, 204 ethnic Chinese adolescents and leaders coming from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, Canada, made 15-day experience of Chinese culture in Chongqing, including some Chinese traditional culture courses like Chinese, Chinese Folk Dance, Chinese Wushu, Calligraphy, Tea Art and so on. They visited Dazu Rock Carvings, Qijiang Farmers Prints, Anju Ancient City in Tongliang, which is one of the World Cultural Heritage, Hechuan Diaoyucheng City to feel the unique and fascinating Bayu Culture. They also visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery and Robot demonstration center in Liangjiang New Area to feel the charm of science and technology. At the painted pottery center of Labor and Technical Education Base in Yuzhong District, they experienced the fun of manual labor. Those events further deepened their understandings to the home country and their perception and love of Chinese culture.
The f rst Chongqing-Finland cultural exchange season was held in Chongqing
From December 17, 2016 to January 3, 2017, “Hello, Finland”, the f rst Chongqing-Finland cultural exchange season was held in Chongqing. Relative of f cials from Finland’s Trade Investment Tourism Promotion Agency, Finland Consulates in China, Turku in Finland and representatives from more than 20 industries and enterprises of trade and business, like Finnish Tourist Board, Finnair and Chongqing Sub-council of CCPIT, etc. attended the opening ceremony on December 17.
“Santa Claus” who is certified of ficially by the United Nations appeared at the opening ceremony as the Finland cultural ambassador that day and participated in the activity named“2016 Little Messengers of Chinese Culture tell Chinese Stories to Santa Claus”, which was jointly organized by relative units in Chongqing, Rovaniemi and Turku in Finland. Since the launch of this activity on May, 18, 2016, more than 10 thousand little cultural messengers have sent mails to “Santa Claus”, which are telling Chinese stories in words, pictures and so on.
During the activity, representatives of enterprises in both Finland and Chongqing carried out extensive exchanges in fields like materials recycling, biological sciences and communications technology, etc.
