There are seven five-star luxury cruise ships Jenna, Anna, Katrina, Grace, Selina, Lianna, Sophia on the beautiful Yangtze River. They are under the world-renowned travel brand: American Victoria Cruise. This series of luxury ships were cruising from Chongqing to Shanghai’s longshore that mainly serve foreign tourists, which made by Chongqing Dongjiang Industrial Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Dongjiang) and American Victoria Cruise Group Company (abbreviated as Victoria Cruise).

Victoria Cruise is a US-owned company doing professional luxury cruise management, which also the only one that leading American management and American conceptual service into Yangtze River cruise ships. Victoria Cruise started its operation in China in 1993, it provided marketing and management service for over 20 ships of Changhang Group Chongqing Office and Yangtze Cruise Overseas Travel Company. It brought over 1,000,000 tourists for Yangtze River till end of 2012. Dongjiang was established in 2001, it cooperated with Victoria Group to bought 4 cruising ships and built 3 new ships in a short time. The first luxury ship Jenna has gross tonnage over 10,000, which was the milestone that showed the Yangtze ships transform from third to forth generation. Dongjiang continued to make fi ve-star luxury cruise ships (Anna, Katrina, Grace, Selina, Lianna, Sophia) for European and American tourists.

In Dongjiang’s initial stage of founding, it pushed to develop the standards of cruising security, it applied ISO:90001 as quality and security management standards in order to keep daily operation. From its operation, there is no damage, personal accident, serious undisciplined, nor effective complaint.

In Victoria Cruise’s initial stage of founding, it brought professional management into Yangtze cruise ships to attract foreign tourists. On each Victoria ship, there are American managers responsible for tourists’ accommodation, entertainment, and sanitary conditions. It employed Richard Hayman, the experienced American manager, Larry Greenman as marketing manager, there is also managers and bartenders from Royal Caribbean Cruise Company in order to be geared to international standards. In the same time, Victoria Cruise also promote Chinese culture on board: it provides Szechuan cuisine, Cantonese cuisine, and Changsha cuisines; there are Taiji Kong Fu, Chinese calligraphy and painting living shows for tourists to experience. Thus, it led tourists enjoy high-quality service and performance on board.

For the past five years, Victoria Cruise took over one third of the whole market of Yangtze tourism. There were over 100,000 tourists each year between 2010 and 2012, the average load was over 80 percent.
