Step 1.Pre-reading
1.Review(复习活动)
Invite the students to watch a video and read those words or phrases loudly:Sing English songs,do some kungfu,play the pipa, cook, play basketball and so on.
设计意图:教师通过视频,既可以用快节奏的音乐活跃气氛,又可以让学生复习之前所学的单词和词组,为课文的学习减少障碍。
2.Introduction(自我介绍)
Talk about my English name and abilities,then present Robin.
T:Boys and girls,do you want to know something about me?
S:Yes.
T:MyEnglish name is Coco.I can dance.I can sing English songs.And I can write emails.AndRobin can write email,too.
设计意图:通过自我介绍,谈论能力话题,引出Robin,让学生感觉亲切,导入自然。
Step 2.While-reading
1.Read and choose(仔细阅读课文,了解文中Robin的性格)
Read the email in details and find what Robin is like.
T:Please read quickly and make your choice. Before reading,I want to give you a learning tip.
设计意图:通过仔细阅读课文的方式,指导学生如何读懂课文细节,进一步理解阅读内容,复习单词friendly和funny。同时,为五年级学生提供一些阅读技巧也是非常必要的,可以帮助他们更好地阅读和理解。
2.Read and underline(再次阅读课文内容,回答问题)
Read the email again,then answer two questions and finish the task“Tick or cross”.
Q1:What can Robin do?
Q2:What can’t he do?
同时,给出另一个小提示。
设计意图:通过让学生带着问题再次仔细阅读课文,思考文中人物能和不能做的事情,加深对人物的理解。
3.Sing a song(唱一首根据文中词句自编的歌曲)
The teacher leads the students to sing a song.
设计意图:用熟悉的《小星星》旋律,带领学生唱一首由课文填词的歌曲。这样,一方面可以缓解学生学习的疲劳,另一方面可以有效地巩固所学课文的内容。
4.Talk about Robin in the text(根据阅读内容说一说课文中人物的性格和能力)
(1)Give a model.
The teacher shows the students how to retell according to the key words.
设计意图:通过教师示范复述,指导学生如何根据关键词及短语说一说课文中人物的性格和能力。
(2)Talk in groups.
The students try to talk about Robin in the text according to the key words in groups.
设计意图:通过小组内谈论课文中的人物,引导学生借助关键词句理解阅读内容并尝试表达。
Step 3.Post-reading
1.Talk about yourself(谈论自己)
Ask them to talk about themselves from three aspects:Their name, personality and ability.
设计意图:通过谈论自己,为学生提供语言输出的机会,也是对本节课学习的一种检测和提升,并为下面的书写活动做好铺垫。
2.Read more emails(读更多的邮件)
The students read two emails and learn to care about those disabled people and learn from them.
设计意图:通过阅读课外有关残疾人的邮件,巩固本课相关阅读内容,同时激发学生学习他们可贵的精神并关爱他们。
3.Let’swrite emailsto them(写一封邮件)
设计意图:这节课的另一个教学重点就是用句型“I can/can’t...”书写句子。让学生写一封邮件,了解整封邮件的书写格式,知道怎么去回复邮件,进一步提高写的能力,同时能够更好地完成家庭作业。
4.Emotion education(情感教育)
设计意图:情感教育也是小学英语教育的一个重要部分,希望孩子们有爱心,能关爱残疾儿童。

设计意图:通过具有层次性的作业设计,兼顾到学生阅读、复述、理解、写作等各方面能力的发展,引导学生学以致用。
