初中英语解题之捷径

摘 要：英语解题能力对于每个人来说特别是学生应该说是一种非常重要的能力之一，同时也是初、高中学生应该具备的一个特别重要的素质。因此我们应当重视提高学生的英语解题能力。

英语解题是一项最重要的英语基本功力，也是学生英语能力方面一项主要的能力之一，是学习、吸收英语知识必须具备的不可缺少能力，也是提高学生英语素养、提高学生综合素质的重要途径。因为英语教学是培养学生获取信息积累英语知识提高各种能力、发展智力的教学环节。英语解题能力对于每个人来说特别是学生应该说是一种非常重要的能力之一，同时也是初、高中学生应该具备的一个特别重要的素质。因此我们应当重视提高学生的英语解题能力。为了更好的提高学科思维的能力，熟练运用各种解题方法与技巧，尤其是为了提升解题的速度，根据我的切身经历，谈谈我自己的解题见解。

案例1：He dropped the and broke it.

捷径：由于作定语用的名词一般没有与之相应的同根adj.它既可以是有生命的，也可以是无生命的；既可以是可数的，也可以是不可数的。它能表明被修饰的名词的地点、时间、目的或用途、种类、原料或来源等。应注意以下三点：第一，名词作定语时，一般用单数形式。如：There is a shoe factory near the school.第二，名词作定语时，个别情况用复数形式。如：The sports meeting will be held next week.第三，man 、woman作定语表示性别时，man 、woman随后面的名词单复数而变化。如：one man teacher， two women teachers. 本题中因为coffee cup 咖啡杯.coffee 是名词，作名词cup的定语，所以应采用第一条名词作定语时用单数形式，选D项。

案例2：The idea of what shaking the head means is not always the same in different countries. Maybe some visitors would be surprised when they first came to India. When they talked to an India， he would often shake his head. The visitors might think that the India did not like what they said. Burt， in fact， they would be completely wrong.Indians always shake their heads when they talk to others. It does not have the meaning as our”No”. If someone wants to visit India， he should know this，or it will give him some trouble.

One day，a foreign officer went to India for business. He hired a car and an Indian to drive it.When he told his driver to send him to his office，the Indian shook his head at once.The officer said again， and the diver shook his head again. At last the officer， of course，got angry.

“How dare you refuse my order？”he shouted.“Drive me to my office at once！”

The driver answered in quite loud voice， too.“Yes， sir！”But to the officers surprise， the driver shook his head at the same time.

The car started， and the foreign officer was now too surprised to say a word.He thought about it for a while， and then he nodded with a smile，“No means yes here！”

捷径：第一小题，根据第一段最后一句的意思“印度人同意别人的观点时摇头”，所以应该选B项；第二小题，根据第五段的意思可以知道，印度驾驶员在说“Yes， sir ！”的情况下却在摇头，这点令officer非常的诧异，所以该题应选D项；第三小题，应该理解为在印度摇头表示“是”，就类似于在中国点头表示“是”，而不能单纯的理解为Yes=No，所以该题应该选D项；第四小题，此题考查的是我们的地理知识：印度在哪儿？略为熟知世界地理的人都知道印度在中国的西南部，同中国的国情差不多，人口较多，属于发展中国家，故此题应该选D项；第五小题，仔细审题之后，许多同学在平时解类似题时常选一个正确的，所以看清题意尤为重要。通读整文，很明显根据第一段第一句，A项是正确的；根据第二段的第一句和第二句，B项也是正确的；根据中国的国情，D项当然也是正确的。所以此题选项C，在印度单词No就是Yes显然是不正确的一项。此题也可以采用直接选择法或排除法。
