巧记巧用英语谚语，提升作文档次

谚语是智慧的结晶。在写作时根据实际情况恰当地用上一句谚语，可以使表达更简练，也更具说服力，起到画龙点睛的作用，且有可能让阅卷老师眼前一亮，让评分上个档次。本文以如何记忆和使用谚语为中心，通过举例说明，达到提升写作水平的目的。

一、归纳总结，帮助记忆

从常用谚语本身的结构方面归纳总结，帮助记忆。

1. n. +is +the+ n. + of

Money is the root of all evil.金钱是万恶之源。

Failure is the mother of success.失败是成功之母。

Industry is the parent of success.成功源于勤奋。

2. n. +is + n.

Knowledge is power.知识就是力量。

Health is wealth.健康就是财富。

Time is money.时间就是金钱。

3. No...， no...

No sweat， no sweet.不付出就没有收获。

No pains， no gains.不劳则无获。

No cross，no crown.不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹！/吃得苦中苦，方为人上人。

4. Every...， has...

Every coin has two sides.事物是一分为二的。

Every dog has his day.人人都有得意日。

5. n. +is the best +n.

Laughter is the best medicine.笑是最好的良药。

Honesty is the best policy.诚实是上策。

6. n. +is the first +n.

Self-trust is the first secret of success.自信是成功的第一秘诀。

Parents are the first teacher of the children.家长是孩子的第一任老师。

7. Where there is...， there is...

Where there is a will， there is a way.有智者，事竟成。

Where there is smoke， there is fire.无风不起浪。

8.A，B，C，D四字结构

More haste， less speed.欲速则不达。

Well begun， half done.好的开始是成功的一半。

First come， first served.先来先得。

9. A make B

Practice makes perfect.熟能生巧。

Customs make all things easy.有个好习惯，事事皆不难。

A good beginning makes a good ending.善始善终。

根据谚语的意思，结合不同的写作话题，把常用谚语进行归纳总结。

1. 健康生活类

Health is happiness.健康是幸福。

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.一天一个苹果，医生远离我。

Prevention is better than cure.预防胜于治疗。

2. 珍惜时间类

An hour in the morning is worth two in the evening.一日之际在于晨。

Time and tide wait for no man.时不我待。

Time lost cannot be recalled.光阴一去不复返。

3. 勤奋努力类

Constant dripping wears away a stone. 水滴石穿，绳锯木断。

Genius is nothing but labor and diligence.天才不过是勤奋而已。

Never put off until tomorrow what may be done today.今日事今日毕。

Rome was not built in a day.冰冻三尺，非一日之寒。

The early bird catches the worm.早起的鸟儿有虫吃。

4. 信念与成功类

Do nothing by halves.凡事不可半途而废。

Details are the key to success.细节决定成败。

Nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it.世上无难事，只怕有心人。

Success belongs to the persevering.坚持就是胜利。

5. 过程与行动类

Better late than never.迟到总比不做好。

Actions speak louder than words.事实胜于雄辩。

Strike while the iron is hot.趁热打铁。endprint

When in Rome do as the Romans do.入乡随俗。

二、使用实例，学会运用

1. lt is a daydream to think that success can be achieved without making any efforts. As a proverb says， there is no free lunch in the world. 认为不通过努力就取得成功，是白日做梦。正如谚语所说：世界上没有免费的午餐。

2. It also helps me better understand the proverb “Practice makes perfect.”它让我更好地理解了谚语：熟能生巧。

3. As the saying goes，“Every coin has two sides.”If you see it in a more optimistic way， you will find more benefits.常言道：事物都是一分为二的。用乐观的方式去看，你会收获很多。

4. As an old saying goes，“No cross， no crown.” Only by facing and overcoming difficulties in our life can we grow up happily and healthily.我们常说不经历风雨，怎能见彩虹。只有面对和克服生活中的困难，我们才能快乐和健康地成长。

5. The picture reminds me of the famous saying： Knowledge is power.这幅图让我想起了那句名言：知识就是力量。

6. Many people lack the sense of environmental awareness， which is dangerous. If these continue， it will be like the saying， “The last drops of water will be our tears！”很多人缺乏环境意识，这一点很危险。如果这样继续下去，正好验证那句话：最后一点水将是我们的眼泪。

7. Honesty is the best policy. It makes people around me trust and respect me， which is very important for me to make a successful life.诚实是最好的美德，它让周围的人信任和敬重我，使我有个成功的一生。

8. “Attitude is everything！” A positive attitude is like a lighthouse， showing us the road to success， while a negative attitude is like a drug， and leads to death.态度决定一切。积极的态度就像灯塔，指引我们走向成功，然而消极的态度就像毒药，导致我们死亡。

总之，恰当地使用谚语，会使你的文章锦上添花，给人留下深刻的印象，也会吸引阅卷老师眼球。
