Abstract: A childhood interest in maps fostered my taste for structure and precision as well as curiosity about the world. Aptitude for mathematics emerged, and a leaning toward language and philosophy. In college I majored in mathematics with honors reading in mathematical logic. My work in and about mathematical logic occupied most of my next twenty years after college. Then my attention turned more to the philosophy of natural science. Tidy parsimony, that is, sharpness of criteria and economy of assumptions, is a beacon for natural science as well, and for its philosophy.

Abstract: "Frege’s Principles" refers to the "Context Principle", and it advocates that the meaning of words can not be studied in isolation but in the context of the sentences. Indeed, by the means of the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic analysis, the three are unified in the context , which is the important content of the language logic research. Furthermore, it enables ontology and epistemology, real-world and possible world, visual experiences and model reconstruction linked internally as an organic whole in the process of language analyzing so as to create a new perspective of language research methodology. Based on the analysis of speech act, discourse implication and context feature and function, this paper expounds the features and methods of the context factors from the perspective of language logic, and then discusses the significance and function of this study methods in language cognition.

Abstract: It presents a number of counter-examples to show that Hume’s view is not hold that a "ought" statement can be entirely deduced from some "is" statements. But there are problems in those counter-examples in fact, and they do not really opposite to Hume’s view. A "ought" statement is different to a "is" statement, and we can not conclude that the world is real form it, but it commits a free agent. If a "ought" statement can be determined true or false, it is fundamentally different to a "is" statement to determine whether it is true or false. So it is appropriate to assert that there is a logical boundary in a "ought" statement and a "is" statement.

Abstract: For China’s management over Diaoyu Islands Sea Area, there are two inseparable issues, one is how to recognize the Sino-Japanese dispute, and the other is how to deal with it. An overall understanding of the dispute is helpful to find a right way in dealing with it. That is to say, in order to maintain the position in a rational manner, the Diaoyu Islands issue should be understood historically from view of international politics. From the view of international law, China’s cruising on Diaoyu Islands sea water has adequate foundation, and this gives China an absolute confidence in doing so. But China should know the situation of themselves, the Japanese’s, and the other’s. For a historical reason and with a complicated reality, China has three basic ways of dealing with the Diaoyu Island issue. The first is to coordinate with the Americans. The second is to coordinate with Taiwanese, and the third is to directly confront with Japanese. Anyway, the confrontation between China and Japan over Diaoyu Islands would be 5 possible outcomes. Now China should mountain her ongoing law enforcement of cruising activities based on an overall recognition of the issue. But the final solution of the dispute still needs more time and space in international politics.

Abstract: As a great master in historical field, Qian Qianyi did not write a book which was related to Emperor Jianwen Period. But through the fragmentary record about Emperor Jianwen in his collected works and historical works, we can still find his view about Jianwen history: to advocate the Jingnan Event view, to believe Emperor Jianwen abdicated the throne and fled from the capital Nanking with some officials. However ,the Jianwen history views and the record and judgment on some specific personages and events of Sporadic Records of the History of the Ming Dynasty are different from Qian Qianyi, for these reasons, I can conclude that it is not authored by him.
