现在分词完成式教学策略

语法是篇章的灵魂,运用得当的语法无疑会给一篇文章增添色彩。有时候,一个简单的句式的改变会使原本平淡无奇的文章生动。可是如何教授语法知识却一直困扰着许多英语老师,怎样学好语法知识也令大部分学生头疼。不管怎样,我们要迎难而上。经过几年的探索,我对归纳式语法教学有了些许体会,所以一直遵循着“呈现---归纳---巩固---应用”的原则来实践。以“现在分词的完成式”这一重要语法项目的教学,谈谈我的几点做法。

一、 呈现例句,典型引路

1. Having worked there for 30 years, he moved to London, where he was very successful.

2. The storm left, having caused a lot of damage to this area.

3. Having given her opinion about the matter, she left the meeting room.

二、 观察例句,引导学生总结规律

上述三个句子的如下两个方面值得注意:1.句子的主语和现在分词动作逻辑上的主被动关系;2.主句谓语动作和现在分词动作时间上的先后关系。学生很快就能发现其中的共性,我此时和学生一起写下使用现在分词所满足的两个条件:1.句子的主语和现在分词动作逻辑上是主谓关系;2.现在分词动作在主句谓语动作之前发生。这时候,学生打怵学语法的心理障碍消除了,学习信心倍增。

三、 乘胜追击,巩固阶段成果

在占有大量语言材料的基础之后,感性的东西应上升到理性,理论要与实践结合,这时做练习是最佳的时机和选择。老师要冷静,切忌将大量的练习一股脑地都抛给学生,循序渐进方为上上策。我通常考虑以下两方面:1. 题型的选择要循序渐进。我常按这样的顺序出题: 填空题----选择题----句子翻译,由简到繁,由易到难。2.时间的安排要循序渐进。我们不能要求学生当堂掌握,那是不现实的,即使个别学生做到了,那也只是表层记忆,要达到永久性记忆,还需反复操练。新授课一周之内每天五道小题;然后每周五道题,一个月下来,学生基本能熟练操作,并学以致用。

新授“现在分词的完成式”之后,为了巩固知识,我是按照下面的顺序出练习题。

1. 填空题:(第一天的习题)

1) __________( go)abroad, she couldnt attend the important meeting.

2) __________(see)the film , I dont want to see it again.

3) __________(finish) my homework, Im allowed to play in the yard.

4) ___________(take) his seat, he began to give a lecture.

5) __________(separate) from his family for two years, the little boy is eager to go home now.

2.选择题:(第二天的习题)

1) ____such heavy pollution already, it may now be too late to clean up the river.(2001 全国)

2) ____the program, they have to stay there for another weeks.(2004广东)

3. 汉译英:(第三天的习题)

1)讨论了这个问题之后,他们决定制定一个新的计划。

(Having discussed the problem, they decided to make a new plan.)

2)已经知道了答案,他们在底下偷笑。

(Having known the answer, they were giggling in secret.)

3)没有收到回信,我又给他写了封信。

(Not having received a reply, I wrote him again.)

4)风暴结束了,对这一地区破坏很大。

(The storm left, having caused great damage to this area.)

5)提前完成了工作,她们得到了一个长的假期。

(Having finished the work ahead of time, they were given a long holiday.)

之后四个周,每周抽时间反复练习,达到温故知新的目的。这样既避免了一股脑把知识抛给学生造成压力过大的副作用,又可帮助学生养成循环记忆的好习惯,一举两得。

归纳式语法教学法让我和我的学生感受到学习现在分词完成式是如何轻松,循序渐进的巩固方法使我们受益匪浅。素质教育要求我们提高课堂效率,因此探索高效的教学方法显得尤为重要。我会更加努力开发更有效的教育教学方法,还学生一个轻松的课堂,给他们永久性的知识,培养学生勇于探究的精神。
