７个城市申请２０１６年奥运会主办权

国际奥委会近日正式宣布，最终确认七座城市申办2016年奥运会。他们分别是巴库、芝加哥、多哈、马德里、布拉格、里约热内卢和东京。国际奥委会将于2009年10月在丹麦哥本哈根大会上选出举办城市。在此之前，申办城市需要通过两个阶段的筛选。

Baku (Azerbaijan), Chicago (USA), Doha (Qatar), Madrid (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Tokyo (Japan) have applied for the right to host the 2016 Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Friday.

According to IOC procedure, the cities will start Phase 1 work, which will eventually lead to the election of the 2016 host city in Copenhagen in October 2009.

During Phase 1, the applicants are required to present IOC their potential to organize successful Olympic Games in 2016 and should answer a questionnaire. At the end of this first phase, the IOC Executive Board selects the Candidate Cities.

In the Phase 2, a Candidature File describing their Olympic project will be submitted to the IOC and the IOC Evaluation Commission will assess it and send their assessment report to IOC members no later than one month before they cast their vote on 2 October 2009 in Copenhagen.

The IOC said Candidate Cities are due to participate in the IOC Observer Program during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in August 2008.

第一阶段中，申请方需要向IOC展示自己可以成功举办2016年奥运会的潜能，并要回答一份问卷。最后，IOC执行委员会从中选出候选城市。

第二阶段中，描述候选城市奥运方案的候选资格文件将被提交给IOC，IOC评审委员会对其进行评估，并在最迟一个月内，向IOC成员发放评审报告，之后，再于2009年10月在哥本哈根进行投票选举。

IOC称，候选城市应于2008年8月北京举办奥运会期间，参与IOC观察员计划。
