Mooncakes stands for reunion in China. In the Mid-Autumn Festival，people enjoy kinds of delicious mooncakes. Some prefer Suzhou-stylemooncakes， some like Cantonese-style mooncakes. My favorite is Qishanmooncakes. You may wonder why I like Qishan mooncakes best. Now let metell you.

In the beginning， Qishan mooncakes were first created in the 1960sto improve the life of the workers at the Qishan mine in the Mid-AutumnFestival. The dining hall of the Qishan mine created different kinds of tastes.The coal workers could buy them from the dining hall. Unexpectedly， themooncakes were quite popular among the workers then. They were proud togive such nice food as a gift to their relatives. As a result， Qishan mine wasdetermined to set up a company to produce mooncakes in order to meet theneeds of consumers. It turned out to be a big success.

Qishan mine， one of the biggest state-owned enterprises in JiangsuProvince， used to be famous for its high quality coal all over China. However，it has been closed since 2016 because of resource exhaustion. Luckily， Qishanmooncakes are still in production as it hascrisp and thin skin and enough filling aswell as low price. Qishan mooncakes havealready become not only a symbol of thelocal culture in Xuzhou but also a spirit ofthe Qishan mine.
