Last Saturday， I went to the former residenceof Wei Yuan with my parents. It is in a smallvillage called Xuetangwan Village， which is about60 kilometers away from Longhui County. Its aquadrangle， a kind of traditional Chinese house.We read the introduction of Wei Yuan first. Thenwe visited his former study room and bedroom， andsaw lots of things he once used. Wei Yuan was thefirst Chinese thinker in modern times to open hismind to the outside world. In his best-known work， Wei Yuan began to look at whatcould be learned from Western countries. I think we should learn from Wei Yuan. Weshould study hard to make our country stronger and stronger.
