[Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture combined with Wenjing Decoction in dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation and blood stasis type. Methods A total of 60 patients with dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation and blood stasis in the department of acupuncture and the department of gynecology of our hospital from January 2018 to July 2020 were selected. They were randomLy divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with abdominal acupuncture combined with Wenjing Decoction. The control group was treated with Aifunuangong pill orally. The two groups were treated for 10 days as one course of treatment, starting from 7 days before each menstruation to the third day of menstruation, with a total of three courses. After three courses of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed, and the pain symptom score was compared and the safety was evaluated. The long-term efficacy was observed during the follow-up after treatment. Results The total clinical effective rate was 93.33% in the observation group and 83.33% in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05). The scores of dysmenorrhea symptoms in the two groups after treatment were significantly higher than those before treatment in the observation group in the treatment group(P<0.01). After treatment, the improvement of dysmenorrhea symptom score was lower in the observation group than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.01). After treatment, the long-term efficacy of two groups were lower than that before treatment(P<0.01), and the long-term efficacy was significantly higher in the observation group (5.91±1.43) points than that in the control group (7.01±1.12) points, with statistically significant difference(P<0.01). After three courses of treatment, there was no abnormality in liver and kidney function, blood routine, blood lipid and blood glucose in the two groups. In the observation group, 2 patients had pain and a little bruise at the needle site, which disappeared after 4 days, while the patients in the control group had no discomfort. Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture combined with Wenjing Decoction is effective in treating dysmenorrhea of cold coagulation and blood stasis type, with few side effects, high safety and low rate of recurrence, which is worthy of clinical promotion and reference.
