Take on the Role of the Director 担任导演的角色

The activity lasted for about a year. It was from reading the classics to writing the play， and choosing the roles to the final stage performance. Everyone put a lot of time and energy into acting the play Hamlet， It was an unusual experience for us. On the stage， that day， my tutor Mrs Li said， “A few years later， you will not remember what Hamlet said， but you will remember that in the summer of 2021 you played a drama named Hamlet.”

I was the director of this valuable short play. To be honest， it was delighted to share the stage with some of the four classes during the last month of BFSU （although the director wasn't on the stage， I was fortunate enough to experience the whole process with the careful performers）.

In this period， we also encountered many problems which was about the role allocation， the familiarity with the lines， the layout of the scene， and to the final live performance. It looked very simple for every step. As a matter of fact， it was not. It took us a very long time day after day. We did it for one or two hours and tried to avoid making mistakes when we were on the stage. Everyone had to face stresses， so each actor or actress stayed up late to memorize words， and to study the characters' emotions. Many audiences might recognize my partners on the stage doing an easy performance for only a few minutes， but I saw the other side of them. In a word， thanks to our teacher Mosi and the cooperation of our team members， we presented Hamlet perfectly to all the judges， and students.
