The deer in the memory 记忆中的那只鹿

“我”生活在西弗吉尼亚州的山区，蜿蜒崎岖的公路经常使很多野生动物险些遇难。几天前，“我”在驱车送儿子上班的途中便遇到一只遭遇不幸的鹿。

I live in the mountains of West Virginia. The curvy， winding roads and the vast woodlands often 1.    （lead to/watch over） near misses（侥幸脱险） with the local deer.
