Country music started around 1920 in the south of America. Early songs were usually about farm life. In 1925， a radio station played country music for the first time. Then in the 1940s and 1950s， it got into cities and became popular there. In the 1980s， over 2，000 radio stations played country music. Now， country music is popualr around the world. It has millions of fans.
