A LM-6 carrier rocket launched from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center with 5 Ningxia 1 satellites at 14:35 Beijing time on November 13,2019,launching those satellites into their planned orbits accurately. The Ningxia 1 satellites were developed by the DFH Satellite Co.,Ltd.under CAST for use in remote sensing detection. The satellites are part of a commercial space project invested in by the Ningxia Jingui Information Technology Co.,Ltd.
The LM-6 was developed by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. The new generation rapid response 3-stage cryogenic liquid fuel carrier rocket is capable of sending various kinds of satellites into different orbits and supports multiple payloads on a single rocket. With the restartable third stage, the launch capacity of LM-6 into a 700 km sun-synchronous orbit is 1 ton.
This was the 3rd flight of LM-6,also the first low-inclination launch. The carrier rocket had incorporated a series of technical upgrades in accordance to mission requirements.
The launch was the 318th mission of the Long March series carrier rocket.
