★指点迷津

介绍某个人的情况,即为人物介绍。在学习、工作和生活中,常常要介绍、推销自己或宣传他人,这都需要作人物介绍。

写人物介绍,首先要全面了解这个人,然后根据需要选取写作内容。简明扼要且突出重点地去介绍,力求真实准确,恰如其分。人物介绍一般包括出生年月、主要经历、事迹成就和影响与评价等内容。人物介绍往往是从外形到性格,或从一般经历到创造性的贡献,最后常有结论性的评语。写人物介绍的英语作文时,经常会用到以下词汇:

身份简历:player“运动员”;pop singer“流行歌手”;movie star“电影明星”;comic star“笑星”;actor/actress“男演员/女演员”;writer“作家”;hero“英雄”;during“在……期间”;graduate“毕业”;come from“来自于”;be born in“出生于”;die of“死于……”;make money“挣钱”;make a living“谋生”;a poor family“一个贫穷的家庭”;be interested in...“对……感兴趣”;try one's best to do“尽力做……”;live a...life“过着……的生活”;start to do“开始做”;with the help of...“在……的帮助下”;in life“在一生中”

★典例分析1

人的一生中会遇到很多的人,给你留下印象最深的人是谁呢?请以“A person I will never forget”为题,写一篇英语短文。

写作要求:

1.短文内容应包括人物的外貌、性格、爱好和使你难忘之处等;

2.词数80左右。

【题目解读】

这是一篇描写人物形象的作文,虽然题目已给出,开放性却非常大,自由度比较高。学生在有限的时间内要做的工作就非常多:对内容进行构思,对材料进行筛选,语言如何组织,中心怎样提出等。这些对学生来说都是非常大的挑战。

应对此类文章,必须认真理解题目,抓住有限信息,找准具体的实例来反映主题,从而进行写作。本文的大致结构:引出主人公——外貌、性格、爱好描写——难忘的特别之处。

注意:应以第一人称和第三人称进行习作;时态以一般现在时为主;语言的过渡要灵活、生动与连贯。【佳作赏析】

A person I will never forget

亮点分析:本文层次清晰,要点全面,发挥合理。首先点题,然后描述细节,最后归纳。复合句和强调句的多处使用,不但使人物形象栩栩如生,而且让文章亮点倍出,风采非凡。

①文章开门见山,直奔主题,作者充分利用题目的提示,出色地完成了文章的导入。不但使用了定语从句,还用了一个同位语来做解释,可见作者深厚的语言功底。

②用了一个复合句,让读者明白了一个道理:一个人的性格与爱好是紧密相连的。原因状语从句中be fond of使用准确、到位。

③responsible的使用间接地起到了承上启下的作用——正是因为她的负责任才引出接下来的事情。

④no matter how引导的让步状语从句的出现,充分显示了语言表达的丰富性。

⑤强调句的使用更是文章点睛之笔,展现了作者超强的写作功底。

⑥最后作者用感叹句进行总结、点题,给全文画上一个圆满的句号。

从所给素材可看出,本文是一篇记叙文。题目要求根据提示介绍一位“阳光少年”,还给出了参考词汇,不需要考生再去另外发挥。但要注意,所给的汉语提示都无主语,写作时切忌写出没有主语的英语句子。提纲要点很多,写作中容易写出较呆板的千篇一律的He is...或She is...等句子。我们应灵活使用各种句子结构,同时语言表达要准确、流畅。

【写作要点】

1.开场呈现背景信息,自我介绍,引入话题;

2.介绍Xiao Hui的相关情况,即提示信息的1~4条;

特别提醒:本文属于人物介绍的记叙文,通篇应该以第三人称和一般现在时为主。在叙述各要点时,尽量避免使用单一的句式,注意充分利用所给的参考词汇。

①谈到学校开展的活动,以及身边出现的变化,内容环环紧扣,叙述有条理。

②本句把提示信息中松散的要点结合在一起,“so...that+状语从句”、短语be ready to do和make friends with的使用更体现出词汇的丰富多彩。

③本句用besides作为过渡词,以as构成的介词短语来罗列要点,避免了句式的单一。

④本句讲到主人公勤奋好学并且积极参加各种活动,表达十分准确。

⑤总结全文,回应主题,使全文成为一个整体,从而起到了画龙点睛的作用。
