China and Qatar’s Mutual Visa-free Agreement Goes into Effect

Recently, China and the Qatar government signed a mutual visafree agreement. According to the agreement, Chinese citizens staying in Qatar for no more than 30 days with valid Chinese diplomatic passport,service (official) passport, ordinary passport for public affairs and ordinary passport for private affairs are exempt from visas. However,the proposed entry into Qatar for work, settlement, news reporting and other activities requiring the prior approval of the competent authorities of the country should complete the relevant procedures before entering the country. The signing of this agreement is likely to further stimulate the enthusiasm of Chinese fans to come to watch the 2022 World Cup.
