基于陶行知生活教育理论的英语交际教学模式探析

【摘要】陶行知生活教育理论强调教、学、做合一，教与学都以“做”为核心。英语教学的目的在于把语言应用到实践中去，教学应着重培养学生的语言应用能力，这是由语言的“实用性”的特点所决定的。这就要求教师将以传授和灌输知识为主的教学模式转变为以能力和素质培养为主的交际教学模式。

引言

陶行知认为：生活是教育的中心，生活决定教育。这告诉我们：教学必须与生活相联系，围绕实际生活展开。教、学、做合一，教与学都以“做”为核心。要在做中学，在做中教。交际教学模式以交际活动为课堂教学中心，以培养学生的在生活中的实际交际能力为教学目的，要求教师和学生能在课堂内外把英语作为交际工具来用，这很好地契合了陶行知的教育理念。

一、交际教学模式在英语教学中的作用

1.大量的语言实践机会，奠定了交际能力的基础。交际教学模式通过大量的、接近真实情境的交际活动，为学生提供了更多的语言交流机会，从“用语言做事”到“学会用语言”，逐渐提高交际能力。

2.创设真实语言情境，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。交际教学模式通过交际目的的合理设计、饶有趣味的题材、真实的情景使英语课堂摆脱了机械呆板、枯燥乏味的程序化教学，激发起学生用英语表达的欲望和学习英语的兴趣。

二、英语交际教学模式典型案例剖析

1.交际教学模式运用于英语教学的典型案例。以英语“Ask for and Give Directions”单元设计为例，在教师引导下，学生采用了pair work、group work、role play、discussion、game等活动形式完成任务，呈现学习成果。整个教学过程式中任务设置层层递进，交流、互动贯穿始终。

Step 1 Lead in：Picture – talking and riddle

1. Look at the photos and video and compare the differences of the neighborhood between the old and new campus.

2. In order to have ss get familiar with new words of neithborhood， T Shows more riddles in English on the screen， and ask the students to give a quick response：“Where is it？”

Step 2 Situation：Draw a simple map and show students the way from Teachers home to the school.

T introduces her route from home to school， using the useful expressions in giving directions， and the activity will work as an example for the Ss.

Step3 Task （Practice the target language）

Play a guessing game：Ask ss to write directions to go from their classroom to another place in the school， or from the school to another place in the neighborhood. Others guess the name of the place accoring to their description.

Step4 Task （Use the target language）

Situation：At the weekend， you and your friend are going to Hongmei Park. But your friend doesnt know how to go there. Could you describe the way for him？

Step 5 Lets do it.

Situation：you are inviting your partner to your home for dinner. Could you show him the way？ You can describe the way and your partner can draw a simple map according to your description.

陶行知“教學做合一”的教育思想让我们明白：在英语教学中，多给学“做”的机会，“做”的过程便是“学”的过程，在做中学，学生为主体，通过“运用语言”来“学习语言”，由“重视语言知识”转变为“重视语言运用”，从而优化了英语课堂教学效果，提高了英语教学质量。
