Italian President Sergio Mattarella Visited Chongqing
2月21日至26日，应中国国家主席习近平邀请，意大利共和国总统塞尔焦•马塔雷拉对中国进行了国事访问。这是马塔雷拉2015年当选总统后首次访华，除在北京与中方领导人举行会谈外，他还前往上海、重庆及西安进行访问。在此期间，中意经贸论坛和文化论坛贯穿其中。意大利各界普遍认为，总统访华将进一步推进意中两国的友好关系，加强与深化两国在各领域中的双边合作。
2月25日,塞尔焦•马塔雷拉一行乘专机自上海来到重庆,开始在重庆的访问活动。
From February 21 to 26,at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping,Sergio Mattarella,the President of the Republic of Italian,paid a state visit to China.This was the first visit to China since Mattarella was elected president in 2015.In addition to holding talks with Chinese leaders in Beijing,he also visited Shanghai,Chongqing and Xi’an.China-Italian Economic and Trade Forum and Cultural Forum were held during this period.Italian people generally believe that the President’s visit to China would further promote the friendly relationship between the two countries,strengthening and deepening bilateral cooperation in various f elds.
On February 25,Sergio Mattarella and his party came to Chongqing from Shanghai by special plane and began his visit to Chongqing.
