动物耳朵知多少

小朋友们，你们知道吗，动物的耳朵形态各异，还具有很多特殊的功能呢！
狗的耳朵会来回转，可以听到四面八方的声音。
蝙蝠（Bat）耳朵是圆的，可以接收口中发出的超声波。
鸟的耳朵没有耳廓，这是为了飞行的时候减少阻力。
松鼠（Squirrel）的耳廓有保护眼睛的作用，使它的眼睛不会被树枝荆棘伤害到。
非洲沙漠中有一种动物叫大耳狐（Bat-eared Fox），它的耳朵占了身体的极大部分，这么大的耳朵不但可以挡住烈日热浪的侵袭，还可以把积聚在体内的热量散发出去。
动物界里听力最厉害的是一种叫大蜡螟（Galleria Mellonella）的飞蛾，它的听力比人类的耳朵要敏感150倍呢！

Bony， Cathy and Mary meet each other at the zoo gate and they go inside the zoo together.

Mary： Listen！Do you hear the sound over there？What animal is making the trumpet sound？
玛丽：听，你们听到那边的声音了吗？是什么动物发出的鸣叫声？
Bony：Sounds like lion. There is a lion mountain near here.
波尼：听起来像是狮子，不远处有一座狮子山。
Cathy：No， Lion roars. It must be from other animal.
凯西：不对，狮子是吼叫。肯定是别的动物发出的声音。
Bony：Well， I guess it is from elephant. I heard the same sound in a circus show.
波尼：嗯，那我猜是大象的声音，我在一个马戏团表演中听过。
Mary： Lets visit elephant valley. It is just ahead of us！
玛丽：那我们去参观大象谷吧，就在前面！
Cathy：Wow， so many elephants！You are right， Bony. The trumpet sound was from them.
凯西：哇，好多大象！你说得没错，波尼，那确实是大象的叫声。
Mary：Look at their ears！They are like fans.
玛丽：看它们的耳朵，像扇子一样。
Bony：Yes，so when they feel hot， they can use their ears to cool themselves down.
波尼：是啊，要是它们觉得热了，就能用耳朵当扇子纳凉了。
Cathy and Mary： Hahaha！
