1 The Economic Development in Tunisia after Jasmine Revolution: Difficulties and Prospect

After Jasmine Revolution, in spite of the smooth political transition, the Tunisian economy has failed to realize the progress that the people expected. This situation could be explained by the drawbacks of the Tunisian economy structure and by the terrorist attacks. The government has been slow to launch national economy plan, and should increase the efficiency of its work. Otherwise, with the support of its traditional and new partners, Tunisia will continue to fight against terrorism, accelerate the reform of the banking system and the tax system in order to create a good environment for foreign investment and to provide a better guarantee for the future economic growth and young people’s employment.

9 A Study of Muslim Immigrant Integration Plight in France

Throughout its history, France has served as the destination of immigrants. After World War II, a large number of Muslims moved to France. In recent years, the French public attention has been focused on the debates on Islam and immigrants. According to the principle of jus soli, foreigners born in foreign countries and immigrated to France are known as immigrants, regardless of whether they have acquired French nationality. This paper will explore the difficulties of integration encountered by these immigrants and their descendants in France, find out the causes of their plight and analyze the French immigrant integration model.

16 A Study on the Pedagogical Value of the French Children’s Original Picture Book on FLT — Based on the multimodality theory and bimodality theory

The picture book is a multimodal written language material that combines both graphics and texts. Based on the multimodality theory and bimodality theory of brain, the present study aims to investigate the pedagogical value of the original French picture book and its practical feasibility in college French teaching, in terms of the characteristics of the picture book and current situation of foreign language teaching. In order to improve the learning efficiency and the level of college French teaching, the study is also conducted for trying to establish a teaching model based on the picture book as the teaching tool and corpus for French beginners.

22 Intention, Meaning, Definition — On definitions in bilingual learners’ dictionaries from the perspective of communicative intention in Gricean non-natural meaning theory

This paper analyzes the relationship between intention and meaning in Gricean non-natural meaning theory and the elements for the achievement of the intention. It indicates that the communicative intention is the core driving force to construct meaning. It explores how to construct an ideal definition model for bilingual learners’ dictionaries to clarify the intention of the lexicographers and to meet the users’ needs.

28 The Importance of cultural Context to French Reading

The ideal state of reading is for readers to feel resonance with the writer. Nonetheless, it’s often the case that we turned disoriented in the maze of words, which suggests the mastery of language itself is not sufficient to comprehend the text. Knowing about the cultural and historical context plays an indispensable role as well, and reading efficiency can be fully enhanced with an ample stock of related knowledge. In this article,its significance will be elaborately illustrated by author’s living examples.

Marie NDiaye, laureate of the Femina Award in 2001 for Rosie Carpe, has established herself as a big name in the landscape of contemporary French literary circle. Abandoned by her Senegalese father who left after her birth, she draws upon her experience to explore such concerns as the search for self-identity provoked by abandonment. This essay aims at studying the theme of abandonment and the crisis of self-identity in the novel Rosie Carpe.

42 Some Peculiarities of Interpreting through the evanescent Character of Sound Signs

Linguistic forms conveying the meaning are different in written translation and interpreting. For this reason, the logic followed respectively by the two types of translation activities previously mentioned is also different. “Talks go with the wind, but words remain.” It goes without saying that the evanescent character of sound signs has a significant impact on the interpretation. So tries this article to study the consequences of the evanescence of the sound signs on interpreting, by considering issues related, such as the scope of the interpretation, the logic it follows, the subject of memorization of the interpreter, the criterion of judgment of the quality of the interpretation, the ideal direction of interpreting, etc.

48 A King without a Kingdom

Twice designated then dethroned, King of Poland, Stanislas Leszczynski passed his last thirty years at Nancy as 《 Duke of Lorraine and Bar 》. There he cultivated the arts, the philosophy and the sciences, and made Nancy an important cultural city in the Europe. Stanislas has been considered as a philosophic prince and a sponsor of the Enlightenment. This article tries to clarify his dramatic life, especially his exile in France.

53 Analysis on the Effect of international Communication on the Image of “Tourist Destination”of Beijing — The reference of Paris’ tourism image and communication to Beijing

According to the 12thFive Year Plan, promoting the development of inbound tourism is an important way to develop Beijing into a world city. But since 2008, due to changes in the domestic and international situation and the lack of the discourse power of Beijing tourism in the foreign medias, Beijing inbound tourism market continues to slump. This article deeply analyzes the development experiences of Paris tourism, another famous international tourism city, and offers a comparative study of Paris and Beijing. The strategies in the design of urban tourism image, tourism resources and development, and tourism external publicity of Beijing inbound tourism are proposed for the 13thFive Year Plan.
