语法小知识

be expected to意为“被期望/预料/估计做某事”，其主动形式为expect sb. to do。例如：Kate is expected to go home before nine at night.（凯特被期望能在晚上九点前回家。）

for sb.’s sake表示“为某人着想，为某人方便，看在某人的面子上”。例如：I’ll help you for your mother’s sake.（看在你妈妈的面子上，我会帮你的。）
