Every time you're with a man or he's with you， each of you is giving off signals①signal 英 ［'sɪgn（ə）l］ 美 ［'sɪgnl］ n. 信号；暗号；导火线 vt. 标志；用信号通知 adj. 显著的；作为信号的 vi. 发信号that you might not even be aware of. I want to share some of these with you because once you get this ... it's like having a behind-the-scenes play book for knowing whether or not he's into you.

When we like someone， we have a subconscious②subconscious 英 ［sʌb'kɒnʃəs］ 美 ［，sʌb'kɑnʃəs］ adj.潜意识的；下意识的n. 潜在意识；下意识心理活动tendency③tendency 英 ［'tend（ə）nsɪ］ 美 ［'tɛndənsi］ n. 倾向，趋势；癖好to lean in towards them. When you do this or you tip your head or body forward， you are showing a man that you are friendly and warm. When you pull away or sit way back in your chair， in essence④essence 英 ［'es（ə）ns］ 美 ［'ɛsns］ n. 本质，实质；精华；香精you're telling a man that you're turned off and not interested in him.

Want to know if he's interested in you？

If you're standing and talking， look down to see the direction his feet are pointing. If they're pointing toward you ... it's a good sign that he's into you. His feet pointed away from you is a pretty good indicator⑤indicator 英 ［'ɪndɪkeɪtə］ 美 ［'ɪndɪketɚ］ n. 指示器that he's not going to ask you for a second date. And when he's standing with one foot pointed towards you and one foot towards the door， he's done and ready to go.

If his arms are crossed， it's likely he's either closed off or protecting himself in some way. When this happens， try leaning in towards him. This is the signal for letting him know you're interested， which may cause him to drop his arms and open up to you. If he continues the date with his arms crossed over his chest then chances are this date is heading nowhere. Use an exit strategy and move on to someone whose body language shows you he's into you.

The space between five and 18 inches is considered the intimate⑥intimate 英 ［'ɪntɪmət］ 美 ［ˈɪntəmɪt］ adj. 亲密的；私人的；精通的；有性关系的 n. 知己；至交 vt. 暗示；通知；宣布zone. It's a great space to be in when you're in a relationship and you want romance and intimacy⑦intimacy 英 ［'ɪntɪməsɪ］ 美 ［'ɪntɪməsi］ n. 亲密；亲昵行为；隐私. But when you're just meeting someone， stay a little more than an arms length from them unless they give you signals via touch or a kiss to come in closer.

When he leans in， you lean in. When he pulls back， you do the same. But a word of warning here ... don't match any man's aggression⑧aggression 英 ［ə'greʃ（ə）n］ 美 ［ə'grɛʃən］n. 侵略；进攻；侵犯；侵害or anger.

When a man tells a story and you agree with him， lightly touch him on the arm as you share that you understand. Most people like touch and respond to it in a positive way. That's because touch feels good and makes the person being touched feel special. And we all love feeling special... right？

如果你们正在站着交谈，可以低头看看他的双脚指向什么方向。如果双脚都指向你……这是一个很好的信号，说明他喜欢你。如果他的脚指向远离你的方向，很明显他不会再约你。如果他站着的时候，一只脚朝向你，另一只脚朝向门，就说明他觉得已经够了，想离开。
