Penetrating Moral Education in English Teaching

Abstract：Middle school students moral education is not fully implemented or even ignored in the present English teaching，so in this paper，the importance of penetrating the cultivation of middle school students moral education in English teaching is analyzed，the strategies of penetrating moral education are discussed and the significance is also pointed out.

I.The importance of moral education in English teaching

Education is the cornerstone of national rejuvenation and social progress，which was underlined in the report to the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China.To fully implement the party's education course and policy and serve the people，we teachers should not only impart knowledge and cultivate students abilities，but also penetrate the socialist moral education into the whole teaching process

II.The strategies of penetrating moral education in English teaching

First，the combination of teaching materials with patriotic education organically

The patriotic education is an eternal theme and the great cause of patriotic education is also relevant to moral education.The combination of patriotic education and the content of teaching materials as a whole will own a vast world in English teaching.The content of English texts generally covers every aspect of daily life，including the world culture，art，sports，economy，science，politics and religion.All the teaching materials will give teachers to a broader space.when teaching English as the language skills，we teachers are supposed to take the patriotic education into account.

Second，setting a good example of moral education in English teaching

The teacher is the model of students and the leader of constructing harmonious relationship between teachers and students.American scholar，Professor Solomon said，" for the individual development，teachers influence is second to the parents." Visibly，the exemplary role of teachers is crucial.From this point，teachers mission is not only to teach，but to educate students.So English teachers should pay more attention to words，deeds and their manners.By means of their own graceful handwriting，prominent writing on the blackboard，clear and logical teaching language and creative and flexible teaching methods，teachers play a leading role in cultivating their personality，resulting in "the silent - sound" effect，which can make them form a rigorous learning habits.In addition，during the usual teaching，the content of moral education，such as the cultivation of norms of behavior and learning habits of students，the improvement of students' mind and sentiment and the enhancement of natural Penetration of their consciousness of environmental protection and social responsibility，will contribute to achieving good goals.

Third，excavating the connotation of textbooks fully and educating them to be excellent

The content of ideological education is rich in English textbooks.With the reform of teaching materials，the content of moral education in middle school also keeps up with the times and spreads the flavor of the times.In terms of senior high school textbooks，each unit has a total of three articles and almost every article has the moral content.For example，Module 5 The Great Sports Personality，which tells the stories of Gymnast Li Ning，Muhammad Ali，Bailey and other stories，focuses on letting students learn their courageously struggling spirit in different fields from them.Similarly，in Module 2 by learning the harm of smoking and drug addiction，students develop a good living habits，and help the disadvantaged working as volunteers and call on others to get away from bad habits.

Fourth，the combination of educational theories and practice

In our daily teaching，we must persist in combining theories and practice.By not only speaking the truth and doing practical things，but also reasoning and infusing affection，the actual effect of Ideological and political education is beyond comparison.Today's students are mostly from only one-child families，interpersonal communication and socially adaptive ability are poor，which needs to get compensation through education.In English teaching，elegant pronunciation and intonation，polite language，emotionally patriotic songs and essays of the times have emotionally infectious effect on them，enlightening educational role as well as guiding interpersonal relationship.Therefore，in our English teaching，paying attention to theories and practical significance should enlighten students deeply.

III.The significance of moral education in middle school

Moral education is the fundamental task of the new period of educational development in china.As English teachers，we should carry out effective strategies in English teaching and push educational development forward with the theory of moral science.With solid professional knowledge and moral education，we teachers will lay a solid foundation for students' all-round development and make a great contribution to the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation.
