● I will recommend two kinds of books to you. The popular science books and literary books.

句意为“我将向你们推荐两种书：科普书和文学书”。但是，第二个句子是一个名词组成的短语。一般情况下，短语不能当句子。

一个完整的句子至少要有主语和谓语，有时候宾语也不能少，像这样直接拿名词或名词短语当句子是同学们常犯的低级错误。应将句子改为：

I will recommend two kinds of books to you： the popular science books and literary books.

● Literary books can be beneficial for our students.

句意为“文学书使我们这些学生受益匪浅”。这个句子乍一看似乎很高级，使用了高级词汇beneficial，但再一细看，就能发现这个词的前后搭配不对。应改为：

Literary books can be beneficial to us students.

● Compare with those one-child families， my family is quite different.

句意为“和那些独生子女家庭相比，我的家庭很不一样”。看起来，这位同学想在前半个分句使用非谓语结构，但没有用对。不同家庭的情况是被拿来比较的，所以应将compare改为compared，表示被动：

Compared with those one-child families， mine is quite different.

● Reading more literary books also can help us improve our writing skills.

句意为“阅读大量文学书还可以帮助我们加强写作技能”。这里also和can的位置不对，修饰动词的副词应该放在动词后面，这一点常常被同学们忽略。应改为：

Reading more literary books can also help us improve our writing skills.

● The teacher asked me if I am interested in my new lessons.

句意为“老师问我对自己的新课程是否感兴趣”。主句是一般过去时asked，从句却用了一般现在时am，这是典型的主句与从句时态不一致。应改为：

The teacher asked me if I was interested in my new lessons.
