以英语戏剧教学为媒介提高美术生英语听说能力

我校是市教育局直属的公办美术特色高中,学生全部为美术生,属广州市F组生源,近两年我校的高考英语听说考试平均分分别为7.4分及8.1分,与广州市平均分有相当的差距。为了因材施教、发展个性,我校从2010年进行了教学改革,相继实施“小班化教学”与“分层教学”。
高一人教版必修3第三单元“The Million Pound Bank Note”是一篇短剧,我做了一次在小班化分层教学环境下进行英语听说教学的尝试。此次授课的对象是高一年级小班,班内共28名同学,绝大部分学生思维活跃、接受及模仿能力强、对死板教学不感兴趣。学生英语基础在年级属中上水平,有一定的自主学习及合作意识。但是,班级内也存在学生英语水平参差不齐这一问题,特别是在口语交际方面,有些差距还比较大。我在教学实践中将该小班学生分为三个层次。教学过程如下。
一、准备阶段
Step 1:复习导入

Step 3: 技巧操练(Practice)
Listen to the mp3 of Act 1, Scene 4, marked the script(Part I and Part II)with stress, intonation, sound linking. Then read it out, preparing for the dubbing.
Step 4: 配音练习(Dubbing)
这一环节,我播放了《百万英镑》这出电影中第一幕的第四场电影视频两次。第一次播放的过程让全班同学都进行模仿跟读练习,并预留一定的时间让各层次的学生对自己难以模仿的台词进行反复连读,尤其是第三层的同学。然后播放第二次视频,并从三个层次的学生中分别抽出四名同学为Henry、Waiter、Owner、Hostess配音。
二、排练与汇报表演阶段
Step 5: 小组合作(Production —Role play)
由于课堂时间有限,我将该课剧本按照故事发展的顺序切成了三个小段,第一段为衣衫褴褛的流浪汉Henry到餐馆用餐不遭Waiter与Owner待见,第二段为Henry在拿出百万英镑支票前与Waiter, Owner之间的对手戏,第三段为高潮部分,Henry由于拿出了一张百万英镑的大钞又倍受大家的关照。各个小组通过抽签决定演哪一段。几乎各个层次的学生都动起来了,课堂气氛非常活跃。各层次学生的表现都非常精彩,把整个课堂的气氛推向了高潮。

②Suppose you get a large amount of money by buying lottery tickets (彩票) and become a millionaire (百万富翁). What will you do with the money? Write 3 things you want to do, at least 50 words. (第6、14、16、18、19、24、25、29、30、32号同学做)
③Whats your opinion on “Money is everything”? Write at least 80 words on it. (不用做第2项作业的同学做)
