你失望了吗？电影角色与原作形象大不同

这年头当演员不容易，特别是饰演改编作品的更是难上加难。为了更符合原作形象，演员往往要在口音、头发、身材方面下苦功，像蕾妮·齐薇格就为《BJ单身日记》的角色不惜多次增重。但很多时候，即使你已经使出十八般武艺，原作粉丝还是不买账。下面就来看看以下几部大片的电影角色与原型有多不同。

Many of the people who go see Jack Reacher wont be aware that Tom Cruise is way too short to play the title character （when the actor was cast[分配角色] in the role last year， fans of Lee Childs best-selling book series were up in arms[竭力反对] over the choice）. Reacher， who is the protagonist[主角] of 17 novels， is well-known in literary[文学的] form as being six-foot-five with dirty blonde hair， blue eyes and a weight of well over 200 pounds. So， basically the opposite of Cruise.

However， the actor will likely make the character his own， and thats fine if you can accept that movies dont always have to be faithful to the page. Lets take a look at the examples below.

很多去看《侠探杰克》的人不会注意到汤姆·克鲁斯演主角太矮了（去年当这位明星被选定出演这个角色时，李·查德系列畅销书的粉丝竭力反对这个选择）。作为17部小说的主角，理查尔的文学形象一直是身高六尺五寸（1.96米），有一头脏乱的金发和一双蓝眼，体重超过200磅（91公斤）。基本上和克鲁斯相反。

Jack Reacher isnt the first adaptation[改编] Cruise was cast in where fans （and author） were disappointed. In the novel by Anne Rice， Lestat is described as having blonde hair， like a blaze[强光] of light， and bluish gray eyes. And hes supposed to be young looking and six-feet tall. Reportedly， her first choice for the film casting was Julian Sands.

《侠探杰克》并不是克鲁斯第一部让粉丝（和作者）失望的改编电影。在安妮·赖斯的小说中，莱斯特被形容为拥有一头闪闪发亮的金发和一双灰蓝色的眼睛；他身高6英尺（1.83米），外表应该很年轻。据说赖斯的第一选择是朱利安·山德斯。

Another famous Tom has ignored[不理睬] the authors descriptions claiming that his own name is more important for the movie， not accuracy[准确性]. The way that Dan Brown presents the appearance of Robert Langdon is “Harrison Ford in Harris tweed注1.” However， Ford would have reminded us just too much of Indiana Jones in the role of an expert on religious and historical symbols. At least Hanks went the distance[自始至终坚持下来] and got a mullet注2 for the part.

Following early casting considerations including Toni Collette， Kate Winslet and Emily Watson， an American actress was chosen to play the very popular and very English character. In one of the greatest examples of doubters[怀疑者] being shown wrong and an actor doing a fantastic job in the end， Zellweger managed the accent adequately[充分地] and also gained a good amount of weight to fit Joness issues[问题] with her body. Moviegoers and fans of Helen Fieldings novel found her to be a total delight in the part.

Comic book fans werent happy to hear that Reeves was cast as a British character， specifically from Liverpool， who was drawn with blonde hair and meant to resemble[相似] Sting注3. Reeves didnt try for the accent （the movie was set in Los Angeles）， nor did he bother to dye[染色] his hair. Reviews of the adaptation were mostly negative[负面的]， including usual criticisms[批评] about Reevess acting， but the changes to the character werent of much focus. Still， fans of the comic are probably thankful it didnt succeed enough for sequels[续集] to be made.

听到李维斯被选去饰演一个英国角色，而且还是来自利物浦的角色后，漫画迷们可高兴不起来。漫画中的这个角色有着一头金发，本该和斯汀相像。李维斯不用改变口音（电影背景设在洛杉矶），也没有为染发操心。人们对这部改编电影的评价几乎都是负面的，包括对李维斯演技的一贯批评，而没有太在意电影对角色的改写。电影最后不太成功，没能出续集，漫画迷也许会感到欣慰吧。

Will Smith as Agent J （Men in Black）威尔·史密斯饰演的探员J（《黑衣人》）

The original[原作的] comic book series by Lowell Cunningham and Sandy Carruthers wasnt too well known （it still isnt）， so there wasnt too much of a fuss[大惊小怪] about the African-American Will Smith filling a role that was drawn on the page as white-skinned. （Smith didnt get complaints when cast as Robert Neville in I Am Legend either.） Given how often race changes in casting is criticized， Smith seems to be one of the few black actors who can overcome the prejudices[偏见] of viewers.

There will always be controversy[争辩] with white actors being cast as other races， particularly as blacks. However， Hopkins playing the AfricanAmerican professor of Philip Roths novel in this adaptation was a complicated[复杂的] matter. Coleman Silk is a very light-skinned black man， pale enough to be consistently[一贯地] mistaken for white throughout his life. And the truth about his race is a major aspect[方面] of the story. So it almost seems appropriate[适当的] to have an actual white-skinned actor play the character. Interestingly， most viewers， whether familiar with the book or not， seemed to have more of an issue with Nicole Kidman being cast as a young， poor janitor[大楼管理员].

Now that Craig has starred as Agent 007 in three very successful movies， there doesnt seem to be any issues with the actors looks. But back when he was first cast as James Bond， skeptical[怀疑的] fans really focused on his hair， calling him “James Blonde.” Now Skyfall is the highest grossing Bond movie yet.
