A 6 million-ton/year Mining Project Goes Into Operation at Hudehe Copper Mine

Recently, a 6 million -ton/year mining project went into operation at Hudehe Copper Mine,the largest copper mine in Xinjiang. Arken Imirbaki, director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, attended the ceremony and laid a foundation for the project.
Developed jointly by Xinjiang Nonferrous Metal Industry Group and Gansu Jianxin Group, Hudehe Copper Mine is a large porphyry copper deposit located in Toli County of Tacheng Prefecture in Xinjiang. The deposit has 362,500 tons of proven reserves of copper,and 1 million tons of prospective reserves. According to the preliminary planning, the project has a mining capacity of 6 million tons/year.With a total investment of 1.466 billion yuan,after it is put into production, the project will yield 800 million yuan in sales revenue annually, providing nearly 1,000 jobs.
According to Arken Imirbaki, with vast territory and rich resources and energy sources,Xinjiang is a key energy-rich and resource-rich area and resources take-over area. Hudehe Copper Mine has large reserves. It is hoped that both parties involved in the project will exert their respective strengths to turn Hudehe Copper Mine into an efficient, environmentally friendly mine by sticking to sustainable development requirements and putting environment first, and strive to complete and put the project into production as soon as possible.
