Daye City to Build a Copper Industry Park

At the 2011 Hubei and Guangdong to Hong Kong Economic and Trade Fair held on Noember 24, Daye City signed an agreement with Beijing Xindu Jingye Investment Co., Ltd.n a copper industry park project with an inestment of 2.2 billion yuan.

To address the large quantity of tailings and ean ores, great processing difficulty, and eavy environmental pollution in Daye City,Beijing Xindu Jingye Investment Co., Ltd.igned an agreement with Daye City to build a opper industry park. With a planned investment of 2.2 billion yuan, the project is designed o process 200,000 tons of industrial solid waste and refine 100,000 tons of copper ingots ach year. After it is put into production, the ark is expected to yield annually sales revenue f 6 billion yuan and taxes of 1 billion yuan.

According to its 12th Five-year Plan, Daye City will provide key support for the deep rocessing of copper bars (tubes), copper plates belts) and composite materials of nonferrous metals. The city aims to bring its copper procssing capacity to 100,000 tons in 2015.
