“看”法不同

在初中英语中,表示“看”的动词主要有see,watch,look,read,它们虽然都可以表示“看”的意思,但它们的用法又是有区别的。现小结如下,以便同学们学习时参考。

一、see 意思为“看见、看到”,常用作及物动词,后面跟宾语,表示看到某人或某物,强调看的结果。例如:

I can see a bird in the sky. 我能看见空中的一只鸟。

Can you see the word?你能看见这个词吗?

Do you see a basketball on the playground?你看见操场上的一只篮球了吗?

注意:see you later表示“再见”; see a film表示“看电影”; see a doctor表示 “看病”。

二、watch 意思是“注视、观看”,也常用作及物动词,后面直接跟宾语,表示集中注意力观看,或注视正在运动中的人或物。例如:

They are watching the basketball game on the playground.他们正在操场上看篮球比赛。

We watched him put on his coat. 我们看着他穿上衣服。

They watched him singing. 他们看着他唱歌。

We watched the bus out of the bus stop. 我们看着那辆汽车驶出了汽车站。

watch也可用作不及物动词,意思是注视、观看,或者是当心、注意。例如:

He seldom plays basketball, but he likes to watch. 他很少打篮球,但是喜欢看。

We should watch for fires. 我们应当小心火灾。

注意:watch TV表示“看电视”;watchdog表示“看门狗、看门人”;watchman表示“巡夜者”。

三、look意思是“看、望”,表示有意识地、认真地看,用作不及物动词。当后面接宾语时要加上介词at。与see相比较,look强调“看”的动作。例如:

Please look at the blackboard when we answer the questions on the blackboard.当我们要回答黑板上的问题时,请看黑板。

What are you looking at?你正在看什么?

We are looking at the boys on the playground. 我们正在看操场上的那些男孩。

注意:look out表示“注意、当心、向外看”;look after表示“照顾”;look like表示“看起来像”。例如:

Look out !There is a bike in front of you. 注意,你前面有一辆自行车。

She was looking out just now. 刚才她一直向外看。

She has to look after her little sister. 她不得不照顾她的小妹妹。

Please look after this boy well. 请照顾好这个男孩。

He looks like his father. 他看起来像他的父亲。

She looks like a famous star. 她看起来像一个著名的明星。

与look相关的词组还有:look for 寻找; look up 查找;look through 浏览; look out of 向……外看。

四、read的意思是“读”,常指看书、读报等,一般指要弄清其中的意思。例如:

He likes reading in the classroom. 他喜欢在教室里读书。

I often read newspaper in the evening. 我常常在晚上读报纸。

Tom is reading a chinese book. 汤姆正在读一本汉语书。

注意:read还可以接双宾语。例如:

Our English teacher read us an English poem .我们的英语老师给我们读了一首英文诗。
